Just returned from a 10 night stay at the Preluna hotel in Sliema. We were asked when booking if we were celebrating anything special and advised them that it was indeed our 40th wedding anniversary. Couldn’t see the point in them requesting this information as when reminded they didn’t acknowledge it which was embarrassing. Hotel looks tired and in need of an uplift. Breakfast was very bland and certainly didn’t set you up for the day. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was old and very noisy (but very much needed) our request to fix this was ignored as was the 4.15am alarm call to catch our flight. The pool area was deceptively small compared to the brochure. In conclusion the hotel does not live up to a 4 star rating.

Service from the Reception staff was fabulous. Nothing was too much for them. The Hotel dissapointed on the Elevator front. We had to use as on the 11th Floor. Very, very long waits for an elevator made more difficult as on around 3 days one elevator was taken out of service due to a new floor being added to the a Hotel. Would suggest going on a Room only basis as breakfast not the best we have had. Great location and the beach club is a nice bonus.

Dear Tony, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We do apologise for the lift issues, we are having to adhere to local Covid guidelines where only members of the same group may use the lift together, this is unfortunately causing a wait for guests at peak times. We hope you'll visit us again, Kind regards, The Preluna Team

The hotel is in a lovely area with the sea directly across the road. The pool and sunbeds are also across the road. The breakfast was good and never that busy. However, the lifts are a nightmare. There are only two lifts and there is always a queue. Not good when you are on a higher floor. Also we were informed that the housekeeping staff would not enter our room unless we requested cleaning through reception. However, several days housekeeping tried to enter our room when we had not requested them

From the moment of our arrival we knew we were going to enjoy our stay in the hotel. The ambiance was delightful, and everyone went out of their way to make our 28 day stay of days to remember. The dining was most excellent and the catering staff so diligent and kind, including the table waitresses. Of special gratitude we have to give a special mention to the boys and girls at Reception while without their untiring efforts to sort out our travelling documentation we would never have been able to climb out the "Put of Despair" that had us in its grip. Thank you Preluna.
