When you enter the duplex suite, you will immediately see that the the toilet is situated only few centimetres away from the living area, separated by only a glass sliding door and a thin gypsum wall. No privacy whatsoever, other occupants can state right in. Shower is the same, everyone can see you enjoy a shower with BATH FOAM, because they provide BATH FOAM. Time to sleep! The bed mattress is like 20cm narrower than the bed frame. Mattress? Silly me, these are mattresses put together very unevenly, making the bed uneven, declining on both sides with a big bump in the middle. The air conditioning stops every few hours leaving you cold 🤯 which is not very practical in these covid times. When you feel cold and might want to have a tea, you cannot, because the management did not provide water with the tea and coffee making facilities. The building is nice tho.

Thank you very much for your review and your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay here with us at Palazzo Violetta but would like to clarify some things. In our suites, most of the bathroom is covered from anyone in the living area with an opaque material that covers most of the glass, this is very evident when viewing the pictures of the suite that you book. Also, in the bathroom there is a selection of shower gels, shampoos and bath foams available for our guests to use apart from dental kits, shaving kits and shower caps should our estemmed guests wish to use them. We are very dissappointed to hear that you did not find our mattress comfortable and will definitely look into this because usually we get very good feedback on our mattresses. In regards to the air conditioners, the air conditioners temporarily switch off once the temperature you have set it to has been reached in order not to overheat as any air conditioner does. Once the temperature drops lower than what you have set it to, it will once again turn on and start heating to the temperature that you have set it to. Please note that there is water available in the minibar should you wish to purchase it among many other beverages and tap water is also decent to use once boiled with tea as boiling it removes any pesticides. Thank you once again for your feedback as this will help us to further improve and to be able to provide a better service for any of our future guests. We hope to see you again.

This Hotel is a little Gem in Sliema, Malta. We have had 5 lovely days in Malta and the staff in Palazzo Violetta have just put the Icing on the cake for us with their professionalism and helpfulness through out our stay. I would recommend staying here as it is only a 10 minute walk to either Bays from the hotel and it is in a lovely little side street away from all the hussle and bussle.

Beautiful blend of old world charm and modern elegance. Close walking distance to hot spots with a busline on the corner, yet quite and cosy. Found the pool court yard private and relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern, comfortable and most important beds are restful. All in all I had a great stay. Do yourself a favor and check it out next time you're in Malta.

Just come back from a wonderful week staying at this hotel. Spotlessly clean and well equipt room. Small kitchenette in a cupboard very useful for preparing simple meals. Very comfy beds and good bathroom. We had a balcony with a pool view but tad chilly to take a dip in Feb. Staff really helpful and friendly. Location perfect for us as really quiet but only 10 min walk downhill to Sliema. The 21 bus goes to either Sliema or Valetta and the bus stop just around the corner. Public transport very good and Sliema great location to visit all Malta. We got a €39 weekly bus ticket which included either a day on the hop on/off tour bus or cruise to Gozo & Comino which we chose. Was a bit rushed and preferred our own trip via the ferry last time visited to get more time in beautiful Gozo. Comino was breathtaking and you must visit the beautiful blue lagoon whilst in Malta. Ticket also included 2 ferry trips to Valetta which only takes about 5 minutes which preferably to full hot bus that takes about 20 mins. Personally I prefer visiting out of season as weather cooler and less tourists! Prices in Malta on a par with UK and having travelled quite extensively I have a soft spot for Malta. Crazy drivers, very British but also very Mediterranean and like no other country I've ever visited. Will definitely be back and stay at the Palazzo as excellent value and perfect in every way.
