On arrival I was greeted by Diego and Sunil, really lovely guys.

Sunil escorted me to my room and made sure I was ok working the TV remote, aircon and asked if I would like to use the safe which was free of charge no deposit required.

They have maps of the island and excursions visitor may like to go on.

The hotel doesn't provide lunch or evening meals but are more than happy to warm food up for you in the microwave.

The location is great very quiet and only 10-15 minutes walk from the promenade, buses and ferry.

A big shout out to Milos who works the night shifts, he would sit with me having conversations about the island festivals and explain when the best times to come back to do the things I wasn't able to do due to weather being either very windy or rainy.

Domestic staff are also amazing. Room spotless, I never found one hair or dust anywhere and even though i made my bed they would remake it and leave fresh towels designed on the bed. Anything I ate or drank was repleshed.

I already miss the staff and hope to visit them in the future.

Lovely hotel super clean the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, the bedding smelt fresh and the beds were very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is small but perfect for a afternoon dip when you’ve been out in the heat all morning, some days we just wanted to relax all day so we got up early at breakfast time to ensure we had a lounger. The area wasn’t too far from restaurants, about a 10-15 min walk. We used Bolt taxis ( very handy for getting around) especially in the heat. We also used BOLT to get back to the airport when we were leaving because it was cheaper but I would recommend getting a hotel transfer when arriving to save any confusion. A couple of constructive comments would be maybe an anti slip mat in the shower as I found the floor slippery when soapy & maybe the Juliette balcony could be cleaned occasionally as there was a lot of pigeon droppings there when I was hanging out swim wear to dry. Thank you for an enjoyable stay we will recommend you to anyone travelling to Sliema.

I never leave reviews but this is the best hotel I’ve had in a long time. Staff are so kind and helpful. From the cleaning staff to reception and the young man during breakfast, all were so approachable. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Breakfast is all fresh, the location is near everything /10 min walk to shops , beach, restaurants, yet still on a quiet street so you’re guaranteed to sleep. I 100% recommend the best stay I’ve had here. The place treats their guests amazingly!

It was a very pleasant stay at the hotel across all 3 rooms. The rooms were comfortable to stay in, and were equipped with modern amenities, especially in the bathrooms, which made for a relaxing stay during the week we visited.

The cleaning was spotless, and it was a pleasure coming back to our rooms after a day of exploring Malta. Access to clean beach towels on a daily basis was also incredibly convenient.

But most importantly, the staff in its entirety was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t help but be amazed at the way your guests were treated every day. We could crack a conversation with pretty much anyone from the staff, and they would always be happy to provide assistance.

The terrace in room 10 could have used an umbrella. But to be fair, had we asked, we probably would have been provided one. :)

We will look forward to coming back another time. Thank you for an enjoyable stay,

In relation to the cleanliness of the room, one day the bathroom was not properly cleaned when we arrived at bedtime, there were some hairs and traces of makeup in the sink. Te day after we did not have any towels in the bathroom to have a shower.
The most serious thing was on Sunday because we couldn't find the budget to enter the room and we called reception to let them know at 4:04 p.m. and no one answered the phone. When we arrived from the excursion at 11:00 p.m. there was nobody at the reception. We called by phone at 11:26 p.m. and several times later and nobody picked up the phone because we were at the reception and the landline was ringing and the mobile phone to which calls are redirected was ringing. Nobody showed up. At 00:00 we were able to enter the room because we finally found the card, and we made few calls from the room phone to the reception, someone picked up a couple of times but hung up the phone quickly. All calls can be demonstrated by my mobile history. We paid for a hotel whith 24-hour reception guaranteed and if we had not finally found the card, we would not have been able to access the room all night or perhaps many hours later.
By the way, that night while we were waiting at the reception without anyone, the computer was open with all the customer data exposed. Anyone could have deleted them or made illegitimate use of them.

This hotel is a great option for a good price within walking distance of everything in Sliema - the room was large and the kitchenette was a bonus. Milos on reception was extremely helpful during our stay. The only downside is if you are reliant on wifi for any reason you might want to reconsider this hotel as we found it incredibly poor, the hotel was unable to rectify the issue with the only solution being to move rooms which wasn't an option as we didn't have the time during our stay to be packing up and moving - also the wifi in the public areas of the hotel was poor so we weren't confident that moving rooms would make any difference. The hotel owner who I spoke directly to was unable to provide any resolution and could only say "sorry" which was incredibly frustrating - thank you Milos on reception for trying so hard we appreciated your help. Also it would have been nice to have been advised of the tourist tax that we had to pay and not get this surprise at 3.30am when checking out.

The Palazzo Violetta is really a lovely hotel in a quiet residential area, and was a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful (esp. Milosz and Jurgen, who were both very chatty. Hey, Milosz, I found the cats in Independence Gardens. Thanks for the tip!). I was in one of the rooms on the lower floor next to the pool and breakfast room. I was not excited about that as I feared noise, but it ended up being fine for the most part (maybe because it wasn't pool weather....I don't know). The room was large and comfortable, and had a kitchenette. Very clean! The TV was weird (I had to keep entering some code to access "restricted content," like the news), but I wasn't in Malta to watch TV, so a minor inconvenience. The hotel is equidistant to St. Julians and the Valletta ferry/busses (maybe 10-15 minute walk to each). I didn't have breakfast there, so I cannot vouch for that, but there is a SPAR convenience store right when you get to St. Julians at the end of the main street, where you can pick up what you need, plus there is a pastizzi place 5 minutes away towards the ferry if you don't feel like paying for the breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

The boutique hotel is on a quiet street and close to Sliema where many restaurants can be found. The hotel's first floor rooms are two-story so that the bed is on the top floor and the bathroom on the first floor. This was not good for those of us who may need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. My suggestion is that when making a reservation at this hotel, you ask for accommodations that are all on one floor. Other than this issue, the hotel is clean and the employees very helpful.

We have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel and have very mixed feelings about it to be truthful.
At first the hotel seemed to deliver everything we had hoped for. It is located in an old Maltese house, in a quiet side street and in a traditional residential neighbourhood. We were given access to our room before check-in time which was great. Our (standard) room was however one of two located just behind the breakfast room. The curtains had to be kept closed at all times to prevent guests having breakfast outside from looking in which made it dark and dingy and we were woken up by the preparations for breakfast every morning. A lot of people on here have commented on the lack of privacy in the bathroom which I would agree with. The mattress and pillows are memory foam which you either love or dislike (we don't like it very much) and I would say that the bedding, towels etc were not up to 4☆ quality. The room was clean however and the cleaning/breakfast room staff couldn't have been nicer/more helpful. The same can't be said about one member in particular of the reception staff who was very unhelpful and rude when asked for excursion recommendations while being very diligent with a group of his own compatriots! All in all a mixed bag and I would probably not return to this hotel when in Malta.

Good Afternoon and thank you very much for your question. The restaurants in our area are located at the seafront which is a walk downhill from the hotel but obviously from the restaurant back to the hotel is at a slight uphill. On a positive note transportation is easy from the hotel as there is a bus stop very close by and we also offer a taxi service that arrives at the hotel promptly. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in touch.

We were in room 205 (2nd floor) and our bathroom had a sliding wooden door with lock (very private) The room was very large with integrated kitchenette which was cleverly concealed behind two wooden bi-folding doors (sink, microwave, fridge, crockery and cutlery etc). There was a small balcony in the room which looked out onto the Main Street. There was very little traffic so the room was always quiet.
