We recently had the absolute delight of staying at Ann and Chris' place on the island of Gozo for three nights. Their stunning and lovingly restored 'house of character' is cozy, spotless and atmospheric. Breakfasts in the courtyard are delicious and generous. The advice and suggestions given of where would be interesting to visit on the island are always spot-on. Ann and Chris are warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. We enjoyed chatting with them and seeing a slice of the life they have chosen for themselves on Gozo. A bonus was their beautiful dog, Walter. Going to Gozo? Stay here.
Such a beautiful old house and Ann and Chris are the most welcoming and lovely hosts you will find. The attention to detail was faultless and they were so happy to stop and chat to us when we we came back from days out. They recommended places to go, the best restaurants to eat at and were so very friendly. Breakfasts were delicious, and catered for me being vegetarian. They have a lovely dog Walter, who can be a little cheeky but is overall very well behaved.
Ann and Chris are the wonderful hosts of this old house. They graciously picked us up at the ferry, recommended the best restaurants, and helped us make decisions about how to spend our too few days (and made sure we didn't get lost) on this amazing little island.
We stayed and the place is lovely. We found Chris to be a very welcoming host and graciously picked us up at the ferry (for a fee of course). He shared his story on how he and his wife came from UK and are running their place on Gozo. Overall we enjoyed the stay but this is the "yet...." bit... our underlying feeling from Anna is 'thank you for your business, eat up and please go".... it's not for lack of trying, Anna cooks a good breakfast. When I asked for an extra towel the sensation was that I put her out by this request. It's just a personal feeling and we had two different feelings - it was good and there was this 'yet'.... feeling.
Thanks for a lovely stay in the cosy house of Anne and Chris. They were so welcomming and helpful and made aour stay at Gozo perfect. My son (18) and I (71) would like to go back. The positive descriptions given by other visitors to Anna Kristu are fully supported by us.
