I was with my family for a few days breakout during 2016 Xmas holidays - took Villa Lavanda, which was warm with fireplace on upon our arrival. This time I had to ask Sonja to get all six of us (my wife, daughter, son plus a dog and a cat!); she was happy with that but warned of some peculiarities...

Really pleasant and quiet location in the middle of Istria, suitable for all generations. Kind rustic interior design and beautiful Istrian exterior with a lot of possibilities for activities on open. And extraordinary breakfasts with homemade bread, jam, pie and fresh eggs from domestic chicken, which could be seen in front of the apartments. Istria could be really tasted on...

We spent a holiday with children. La Casa di Matiki location is far from the sea. Sometimes obnoxious Italian staff, not Sonja, the friendly and nice. Apartment fine. 10 years we go to the island of Hvar, but Istria us excited. If we go back we will find accommodation closer to the sea, we prefer more than just a pool,...

Dear Jitka and Family, thank you for your feedback. It was pleasure to have you as guests. We are indeed located at the heart of Istria, inland; however Istria being a small peninsula, the advantage is that there is a variety of choice of both nearby sea and inland places to visit and a peace and quiet of our private...

Casa Matiki is a beautiful place, a lot of nature and silent, it is a perfect place to rest, very nice rooms, enjoyed the swimming pool, fresh and delicious breakfasts everyday and a lot of cute animals around.

Lovely, picturesque environment surrounded by Chickens, friendly, like-minded people and the opportunity to really relax in the middle of Istria but still only 25 minutes from the beach. Sonja and her team were very helpful. I would definitely go back!

This is a really great place for families. You have to love dogs, cat, chickens & kids to go there which was perfect for us. The ability to cook for yourself while on holiday is really important with kids, so we always opt for apartments when we travel. A garden filled with flowers is lovely and this summer hideout is...

Casa Matiki is like a home away from home. From the moment you set foot on the property you are greeted by Sonja's 3 friendly and energetic dogs. Sonja is next to welcome you into her home and show you around. The pool, olive trees, chicken coop, fruit trees and donkeys give the rustic home true authenticity! Every morning Sonja...

Situated in Central Istria it offers a peaceful away from it all retreat while all the famous sights remain easily accessible. Aside from those, make sure you also check out Svetvinčenat (down the road from Zminj),...

Sonja and her family did an excellent job restoring this captivating, last century charmer. They imported and sold used cars for years to build this enterprise, and their dedication to the art of agriturismo hosting really shows. Everything was authentic. We loved it and can't recommend highly enough! Delicious homemade breakfast, too!
