The area nearby is not suitable to walk around or go for a drink. It is very convenient if you are traveling with group. The hotel was clean and the room was decent. Breakfast and dinner buffet was very good! The personnel was kind and helpful
When they see you got money, they misuse you and make the price double up. The security in the hotel is insulting the guest when they speak to the receptionists on a calm way. I got no idea what a hotel could be like that. Where receptionists laugh about guests, and the security insults the guests and plays tough. I kindly asked the security to help me since I did not understand the receptionist. The security which is not even wearing any type of badge or uniform started shouting and raising his voice and insulted me and my entire familie. The showed of the hotel are DISGUISTING the beds are uncomfortable, and the food, breakfast and dinner are horrible and repeatedly. NEVER AGAIN
The location of the hotel is very nice and quiet! The hotel is very good and the staff is very friendly and very helpful! Breakfast and dinner are very rich! The restaurant is located on the 6th floor of the hotel! The rooms are clean and tidy! In the reception area there are two large lounges where you can sit and enjoy your drink! If I go back to this area, I will stay there again with pleasure!
We stayed 3 nightd Very, very small rooms, almost claustrophobic, with a very bad smell. The food was ok, but the personel in the restaurant are very rude. We had breakfast and dinner included. The dinner was buffet, but for the main dishes it was a "chef" there to serve you.
The tour and travel company we of 15 persons that we used has promised a minimum 3 stars hotel to stay or over night. 1.This Shepperds' House is below 3 star. 2. When you entered the room, you need to open the window to kick out the smell from your room. 3. On the same time you let the window or the door to balcony opens, you let the flies coming in to sleep with you. 4. bath room is dirty, hangers are with corrosion that will reflects your dresses 5. first dinner you got fruits and desert. 6. second night, you had to claim your fruits and cakes 7. rooms are without heater during cold seasons
This hotel is in Beit Sahour which is near Bethlehem. It is within easy travelling distance to Jerusalem. The hotel is modern, very clean and comfortable. The food is plentiful, with a good variety to serve different tastes and cultures. The staff are very welcoming and particularly the manager who is very helpful.
I visited this hotel a week ago. It's pretty good for staying near Bethlehem. Hotel is new and it has rooms with TV, shower and WIFI connection. I stayed at 5th floor and I have some problem with lifts (there are only two lifts at the hotel) due to many guests. Restaurant is at 6th floor and it has pretty good breakfast and dinner. There were meat, sausages, cheese, butter, yougurt, eggs, olives, toasts and something else on breakfast, there were turkey, chicken and fish on dinner and some cereals, salads. WIFI connection isn't good in the room and it was necessity to go out and try to find good place for the best connection. One especially Eastern problem is praying at the mosk from 4.30 to 5.00 AM. It gives you true Arabic colorite but you cannot sleep at this time. Hotel is situated near the Greek Church of Sheperds Field with archaeological place of Bysantine Churches from 4 to 8 century. You can visit it according to timetable. Nativity Church of Bethlehem is far from hotel (about 3 km) and you can take a taxi from reception (5 $) or try to be true pilgrim and walk to the church. Best prices on souvenirs are at the street near the Nativity Church. You can buy original Mother of Pearl souvenirs there. There is a supermarket near the hotel (100 m from Sheperd's Field Church), where we can buy all you need. There were pretty good wines of Salesians Don Bosco (Cremisan wine). I recommend to try a red sweet wine 2015 (9$). If you are going to visit Nativity Church without necessity to wait long time, I recommend you to visit it at 6 AM (it is time to begin Catholic mass in Nativity grotto). At 6-30 Greek Orthodox begin their divine service at grotto and after 15 min you can go to the place of Nativity.…
The hotel was situated away from the noise of the city. The disadvantage of the place is that it is far away from the city. Also the rooms were too small. We stayed 4 nights and the breakfast and the dinner menu was almost the same without much changes. Staffs are friendly and helpful
The hotel is nice and comfortable located in a quiet and peaceful area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The amenities were nice as well. The breakfast spread had a great variety. Overall a great stay, recommended.
We just returned to Canada from our 8 day group pilgrimage and we stayed at the Shepherds House Hotel. Our experience was excellent, management was very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing even for the most difficult pallets, atmosphere warm and family oriented, rooms with all the necessities away from home and very clean, dining room sparkling clean with amazing cook and staff, drinks at more than reasonable prices with great choices. Last but not least the owner is an exceptional person who takes the time to treat all his guests with warmth and compassion which also reflects on his managements actions with the guests. We will return here in a heart beat on our next trip to the Holy Land God willing. Highly recommend to everyone!
