Rafting Camp Encijan is a perfect place for lovers of rafting as it is located on the right side of river Tara, 40km southern from town Foca, on the state border with Montenegro.

In the very heart of the Tara River Canyon, miles away from modern civilization and at the beginning of the most exciting rafting part of river, there is a place called Brstanovica and Camp Encijan on it, one of the most beautiful camps on Tara river and only one at the Bosnian side of river.

Here is one of the last remaining oases of tranquility and hedonism...

One of the first camps ever built on the banks of Tara River...

Encijan is not just a camp, for nature lovers and people that love adventure, relaxing and getting away from civilization, Encijan represents one of the last remaining oases of peace in nature that is still not touched by human hand and they always and often come back.

Due to our specific location and the fact that we are in the very heart of Tara River Canyon, at the starting point for rafting, we are simply unavoidable stop for all adventurists who cruise the Canyon searching for new adventure...

Bungalows like old mountain cottages provide complete comfort and convenience, for a normal and uninterrupted stay in the untouched nature. Terrace above the river, scattered swings and chairs, Tara noise, magic silence.... Arranged beach for sunbathing and swimming, paths for hiking... These are all preconditions for a complete experience.

Encijan camp is amazing. Its like a little heaven on earth. In the forest ,by the river Tara, with little wood cabins, tree swings, lanterns, flowers and camp fire...like from a fairytale. For adventurers, family, for all nature lovers. There is so much to see and explore. Rafting, fishing, swimming, walking trough forest.Perfect nights next to the fire with pleasant music and quite morning coffee with birds and murmur of the river. The hosts are so kind and hospitable.Traditional homemade food is so delicious. Its a magical place and I can't wait to come again.

The rafting camp was amazing. In just a day we we're able to relax maximum in the beautifull nature. We just found out not to rely on google maps while getting there. The hammocks, dogs and great staff finsihed it. And the food was also amazing!

We spend a weekend here with friends from Montenegro at their recommendation. It's a gorgeous site, nestled in the woods with the river rolling past. 12 wooden cabins are cute and comfortable, bathroom block is clean with lots of showers and toilets. The food is amazingly tasty home cooking and lots of it. We are meat eaters but enjoyed the vegetable dishes and super cheeses. Being vegan might test them, but the owner was so nice I'm sure he would adapt. They are thinking green with small scale hydro-electric lighting. No wifi so come prepared. Can charge your phone at reception no problem. It was a lovely place to stay and relax. Some music etc in the many shaded shared spaces in the evenings but stopped by owner after midnight. Plus then there was the fun of the rafting which had good equipment and guides. We would go back, from the UK.

We loved the camp and the Tara river is incredibly beautiful. The service and food was outstanding...an unbelievable amount of delicious food for every meal. The staff and owner, Milan, were very friendly and helped us a lot with our onward journey as we were travelling independently. If you are thinking about going here, just do it, you won't be disappointed. Thanks alot, Diana and Mick, England.

Undoubtedly, the best place in our whole trip through the Balkans. Encijan camping is a little piece of heaven on earth. Next to the crystalline water of the Tara river, the peaceful environment and the kindness of all the staff surprised us since the very first moment. Nemanja became our friend and we shared lovely moment in the car as next to the river drinking a cold beer. Voula, our rafting Sherpa, has been fun and kind and we shared unforgettable moments while rafting. The price is ridiculous: the room is great, the food is abondant and really well prepared, the shuttle service is familiar and efficient. The staff stopped the bus for us to help us reaching our next destination. Encijan is a perfect cocktail of magic, adrenaline, nature and human proximity. We will come back there for sure.
