When traveling around Europe, I'd recommend a stop in Stykkish (whether or not you plan to take the ferry to the Fjords).

After sleeping in two other Fosshotels, we expected bit more. Rooms were good, but everything was a bit dated.
Apparently a company held a meeting or conference while we stayed there, meaning the restaurant was not available during our stay except for breakfast.

We followed advice from other TA reviewers: we loved the mussels, salted cod and the chocolate shock cake. Don't remember the costs; all meals are on the expensive side. But this was great.
