We booked this place last minute as we decided to visit the peninsula on our penultimate day in Iceland. The room was small, difficult to fit our luggage in. The kitchen was nice and a good place to hang out. People stay in rooms on 2 levels and there are 2 bathrooms per floor. When we returned from going out...

We stayed there for 1 night in the upper floor. The room was with very low ceiling and too small. There are 4 rooms in the upper floor and 2 bathrooms, a big kitchen and dining place though. The walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING, and everyone. Breakfast was OK.

We stayed one night in this seaside inn; we were put on the upper floor, and while the room was small almost to the point of being cramped, for one night it worked just fine. Hulda had a binder featuring various restaurants and sights in the area that may be of interest, which helped us pick out our dinner spot...

Hulda will take good care of you at the Holmur Inn. The rooms are well decorated at ours had a view of the big church and the mountains. It was a 2 min walk to the ferry and we were able to walk comfortably from the Inn to anywhere in town. Common areas were clean and breakfast was plentiful.

We stayed here whilst exploring the environs in a hire car. This enabled us to visit the Shark Museum at Bjarnahofn (brilliant!), search for the Berserkjahraun in a lava field (not sure we really found it), and to climb Helgafell - but not on the first day, when the phenomenal wind was so strong we were blown sideways across the...

We did call rather late in the evening (it was almost 10 in the evening) and they waited for us 5 minutes after 10 to arrive, so I guess we are thankful for that. When we called, and later upon arrival the owner said the price for the two of us would be 75 euros (no matter she only had...

Location is good as it is very close to the harbour, restaurants and the hot pool. When we checked in the hostess did not say very much. We had the smallest room on the top floor which has a low ceiling but luckily we are short. The top floor has four rooms, two bathrooms and the kitchen. You can hear...

We were greeted with few words and even fewer smiles. The only time the owner said very much was when she scowled at my wife for entering with her shoes on. Rooms are basic, beds not very comfortable and breakfast okay - but you have to go outside to access the breakfast room if you are on the ground floor....

This guesthouse is located behind the main street of Stikkisholmur, next to the restaurants and to the harbour. The rooms have no ensuited bathroom but the shared facilities (and the rooms) are perfectly clean and reach the expectations. The breakfast is ok, and parking and wifi are free. The owner is very shy but she is a nice person.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at this guesthouse. We are a couple with a 13 year old daughter and were given adjoining rooms (for the price of one), which gave us plenty of space. We enjoyed meeting and talking to the other travellers who were hanging out in the common room (kitchen). The breakfast buffet (included) was excellent. It...
