We stayed here for only 1 night in December. It's an average hostel, with very small rooms, almost no space to move. It got really stuffy during the night, with tiny windows and the heating on full power. However, it has a big kitchen with utensils for those you prefer to cook a meal. The living room/dining room is also...

I guess Wifi is limited with number of people. When everyone is back to hostel, it is very hard to connect to wifi. It's like a first come first serve wifi. Bad sound proof. You can hear everything from next door to same floor. So, hopefully, the couples didnt make to much noise. fully equipped kitchen. and an antique freezer....

We stayed here for a night in November and it was a lovely place. Check in was fast and the room we had was lovely with a balcony outside. The weather was utterly appalling but the hotel was very warm and cosy and the restaurant next door was great to have when we didn't feel like venturing further in the...

My husband and I attempted to stay here at the hostel one night to break up our drive to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. We arrived around 7:30 and planned to leave very early in the morning, around 3am, in hopes to see the Northern Lights. The hostel was decent, nothing special. But seemed clean and was simply a place to lay...

Clean and tidy 3 star Hotel in Vik located about 180 km south east of Reykjavik on the main ring road. Great for a short overnight stop on your way to Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon. Within walking distance to local supermarket just up the road and the well known Reynisfjara black sand beach and Stacks. Rooms comfortable but spartan without tea/coffee...

We were driving the circle and decided to stop. This was not a planned stop, but a quick stop for sleep. There are lots of tourist sites in the area, Hotel was very nice and helpful receptionist, Anna. Rooms very clean and quiet. Breakfast had more than you could ask for. All staff were great. As stated in other reviews,...

Simple, Very Clean, but Expensive. Keep in mind that Puffin has a hostel and a hotel. The hotel is very clean, free breakfast, super slow wifi, parking spots, but expensive @ $120 per night. Btw, what's up with the buttload of annoying Chinese tourists?!

We stayed in the 100 year-old Puffin Hostel, across the parking lot, run by the Puffin Hotel. Rooms were clean but very small, with very few shared-bathroom facilities. The shared kitchen at the basement needs some remodeling, because it is as old as the house. Wi-fi is poor. The wooden stairs are very steep and narrow, so bringing up a...

Pretty nice place, old building but the interior is updated. Friendly staff, clean rooms and decent breakfast. There's a restaurant next door if you want to grab something quickly, it's a bit of a walk to anywhere else but if you're in Vik you likely have a car do the location doesn't matter.
