Stayed in Hotel Vik i Myrdal in May 2014 for one night whilst travelling the ring road in Iceland. This hotel impressed me. Decor was modern and up to date, very trendy!! Stayed in the part which was being refurbished so although works were still going on whilst we were there, the room and corridors leading to it were exceptionally...

We stayed in the cottages of the Hotel Edda instead of the Icelandair portion of the hotel, though we had access to both hotels while there. The cottages are somewhat rustic, but have everything we needed. The Iceland Air hotel is very modern. It's an interesting, if unattractive combination. The shower smelled a little like mold, but other than that...

Stayed at this place on our first day of the iceland holiday. We were in the old quarters which was simple, clean and functional. The new part ( which has now opened) looked spic and span and we had breakfast there which was again simple but sufficient. Thin pillows were our only issue ( though i feel i am nit-picking...

The town is very cute, and Hotel Edda is across the street from one of the black sand beaches. We ended up in a summer cottage. It was ok, but walls are very thin. Try to stay in the actual hotel instead. They have built a new expansion so the rooms should be nice in there. Wander the town a...

This "hotel" is a combination of a new Icelandair Hotel, joined to an older Hotel Edda, and, separate from both, are the "summer cottages." We stayed in the latter, and each one has two rooms with very thin walls. The accommodation was fine, till the folks in the other room showed up (after we were asleep) and then left at...

The new part of Hotel Edda, Hotel Icelandair, is simply brilliant. Very design, comfortable, nice breakfast, well located. The restaurant was not opened yet for dinner (the inauguration of the hotel took place while we stayed there).

The hotel Edda at Vik has been undergoing extensive construction with a new section for hotel icelandair Vik. This will be the premium section. Rooms are excellent and when complete and this will be very soon it will be well worth a stay. Enjoyed our stop and would use again.

The location is great! Half way between the floating glaciers of Jokulsarlon and the blue lagoon... The hotel is actually split in two: a nice Icelandair hotel and a less nice Edda hotel: same parking lot, same building... So unless you can't afford the nice Icelandair hotel or it is fully booked (which was our case), I would not recommend...

Loved the location with a view to die for..great cottage to stay in (not the new block) and while the bathroom was quite small, the overall setting was superb. Restaurant is very pricey in line with the rest of Vik and staff was courteous but not warm. Overall a big recommend given the views and the property location/price/comfort

We had the superior room with the double aspect view of the stacks in the new part of the hotel. It had the Wow factor, very large, very comfortable separate loo and shower (very powerful). Great breakfast, with the waffle maker and plenty of choice
