Volcano Hotel is a very nice country hotel in the area of Mýrdalur valley, by the southern most tip of Iceland. We have only 7 spacious and beautiful rooms at the hotel, the rooms are decorated in Scandinavian style, with hard wood floors and light interiors. All our rooms have private bathroom with shower, shampoo, soaps and a hairdryer. There is a nice lounge/dining room with a bar at Volcano Hotel and dinner is available for our guests, if it is booked in advance - latest the morning of your arrival. We take price in offering a personal service and know the importance of meeting a local, so do chat with us and ask us about anything in Iceland - we're happy to help.

This is a small hotel with beautiful views, nice, large, comfortable rooms. All newly renovated. The owners are very nice and had there own family pictures as a slide show playing. This was our favorite place of 6 different hotels in Iceland.

We had a beautiful time at the Volcano hotel on our Iceland roundtrip. The owners are very friendly, the rooms are modern and we felt very welcome, it was like staying at a lovely family's home. The hotel is very well located with beautiful views and we managed to see the northern lights during that night, which kept this specific hotel in our memory! The breakfast was lovely and I highly recommend this hotel on your Vik stop :-)

Awakened by a lamb baaaing for breakfast in the fields behind the hotel, we agreed this was the most rural, quiet place in the world. We had two rooms-a clean spacious king on the back side and two twins on the front with a patio and chairs for hanging out looking out over the fields towards the ocean. The owner used to attend this school house but recently completed his tastefully and comfortably renovations. Love the black rock floors and red accents. Very comfortable, quiet room, (except for the baaaing). The family is very welcoming and provides helpful information about the surrounding area. A great location for touring up and down the coast. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Volcano hotel. The rooms are very clean and modern, with comfortable beds, and the location is near to a number of great attractions and beautiful sights. Also, the service is excellent and friendly. Best hotel we stayed at in Iceland!
