I booked this hotel for a once in a lifetime trip with my wife and 7 year old. Hotel was booked via Expedia as was a second hotel in Iceland... Kria charged us the full amount as they had different cancellation policies from the other hotel... We had to cancel due to exceptional circumstances and despite discussing with the hotel they firmly declined to budge from a 800 euro fee... Yes, their terms were correct albeit totally unreasonable, but the hotel should be avoided at all costs...

...The big fail is that this cool concrete and glass box with 20’ ceilings has an open loft above the expensive, fine dining area that’s equipped with pool, table tennis, and big screen TV’s that attracts a very local rowdy loud crowd...

...A mini-fridge would be useful and perhaps the hotel is slightly overpriced. Didn’t eat in the restaurant as prices were high...

...The room was reasonably priced, comfortable and just right for our one night in town... Breakfast buffet was way above average and included in the price...

The beds are excellent, with good linens... The breakfast selection was good and well cooked - particularly the breads and the bacon... The coffee was great and the hotel was very thoughtful in providing a large flask of coffee on the day of the storm when many people were in the hotel... A great part of our holiday and would fully recommend the Kria for its warmth, hospitality, good and value...

An excellent choice at the edge of town... The back side of the hotel, mountain view is worth the money, you look out at a field and the mountains, and a park for campers... A first floor room gives you a deck to sit on in the back... There are doors that open to outside but no window... Cool sleek vibe to the hotel...

This was among my favorite places we stayed on our Iceland trip. Rooms were very comfortable and modern with beautiful bathrooms... Also very much enjoyed the small outdoor area and sliding glass door for the lovely views...
