We had a great stay at the Aska hotel, which was most definitely thanks to the owner's hospitality and kindness. The rooms were clean and spacious enough, and the showers and toilets were very clean. We felt like everything had been renovated recently because everything was clean. The owner was very helpful, she showed us around and told us where to get food late at night. She also allowed us to leave our luggage during the day so that we wouldn't have to hike with it. We reccomend this place

Even if there are many boat every days, if there is some wind boat can be canceled for a full day. It’s possible will not be able to go there or to come back. If you need to cancel the booking they will not refund you. Go there is you are already there but not in advance. Staff will just not reply and ignore you.

and I have been to Iceland for three weeks. Clearly, the worst problems (toilets, bodyhair in shower) are the fault of some other costumers, but hotel staff should be there to clean these things. Also there is more dirt, which has been there for a longer time (How often are they cleaning?) My feet are sticking to the floor and the washrooms dont look like they have been cleaned today properly. I dont feel good in here and using the toilets is really not possible for a woman. At least my bed looks clean.

This was our second hostel stay during our time in Iceland. We were hiking most of the day and this friendly little place was a welcome rest area. The rooms and restrooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. The beds were very comfortable, but the shower was even more spectacular. Sporting a large rain shower head, the shower also had adjustable pressure that gave an invigorating wash at the end of a day of a strenuous hike. The kitchen area was functional, with many utensils at our disposal, as well as free coffee products. The only drawback was the location of our room directly over the restaurant next door, which did provide some rather loud music, but only for a short while. The Aska Hotel is located right in the middle of Vestmannayer, so we were able to venture out into the town on foot. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

This is a very cozy hostel on Vestmannaeyar with a prime location in the center of the town. We had a great room (room number 8) with views of the town, the surrounding mountains and volcanos. Showers and toilets were clean and not too busy.
