We just traveled for 16 days in Iceland in mid-August. We rented a vehicle, took the car ferry to the West Fjords, and drove the Ring Road. The hotels were all terrific. Our favorite property was the Siglo Hotel in Siglufjördur where we had a Superior Room. It is a beautiful place, in a great location on the waterfront, with a geothermal hot tub at the front of the property for guests. After dinner at the hotel, we took advantage of the bathrobes and slippers provided in our room and made our way outside to the hot tub. There on a cool, drizzly evening we enjoyed the company of other guests from around the world taking a soak. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet the following morning. Our only disappointment was our travel only included one night at the Siglo before we headed off down the road. We could have enjoyed more time at the hotel and will plan accordingly the next time we are privileged to travel in this part of the world. …

I just love this hotel at the first sight!! The location is sit on the pier with a million dollar view. It is a real romantic setting; the location, the classic structure, the color of the hotel everything is just perfect. The room is big and very comfort. The bed is really good and make you feel like home. Even on the rainy day, just sit and watch the view out side from your room window is just good enough for the day. The hotel staff is so nice and very helpful. The breakfast is good, plenty of room for a parking lot. If you are in town , just check it out, you won’t regret.

Wow! Located at the end of a peninsula in an area of Iceland close to the Arctic Circle, we couldn't have asked for more in terms of natural beauty, comfort and hospitality. The warm and welcoming smiles at reception, the lovely common areas with generous, cozy seating, a glass-enclosed fire and a gorgeous view, made us regret that we were only there for one night. The breakfast buffet was exceptional as well, and Ava, who was at the desk in the morning, went above and beyond in graciousness and thoughtfulness. Highly recommended in every respect. Next time we'll make sure to stay long enough to really do it justice!

Amazing place. Cozy room and very clean. Friendly service. Comfortable beds. Nice view from the window. Breakfast was just ok. Outside is a swimming pool with hot water and a sauna which greatly diversifies the stay. Beautiful surroundings. I will certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and I would love to come back here.

This hotel is well located in a very pretty setting in an interesting small town up north. We took a detour off the ring road and were glad we did although one night would have been enough. The room was probably one of the best we had in Iceland with an amazing view over the water, the bed, pillows and bathroom were clean and so comfortable. The town is interesting with a great cafe, family fish and chip shop and a couple of restaurants. The Hotel was the only one we stayed in on a two week tour of Iceland that did not have a happy hour, the bar was always empty in the evening and the one evening we did have a drink were served by a grumpy bar man who had no dry white wine by the glass, only demi-sec. The restaurant does not belong to the hotel and at the end of the meal this sent everyone scurrying back to their rooms for credit cards as you are unable to put the cost on your room.The food is good but expensive even by Icelandic standards. The big let down was breakfast (hence the three stars)which was very poor quality and at times inedible, please see attached photos of the green solid scrambled egg and unbrowned sausages - when I asked the server why they were green I was told eggs always turn green when they are cooked for a long time.…

Top notch hotel. Pure luxury. Food is good, rooms are comfy. Thermal pool is picturesque. In all a very comfortable stay. Every room has a wonderful outlook. It’s clean and all areas a fresh and light. The staff very attentive. No complaints from us.

Wonderful location, wonderful spacious rooms. So peaceful and relaxing. Definitely recommend taking the time to visit. Best hotel of our 2 week tour of Iceland. The hot bath outside was the perfect antidote to long day of whale watching and sightseeing.

Very good hotel, located directly at the harbor of Siglufjordur. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, and the restaurant also serves tasty dishes. Very friendly staff. When passing nearby Siglufjordur, I recommend this hotel. Price / quality is OK

We loved this hotel. We were able to check in early and had a beautiful room overlooking the harbour with a window seat which made me wish we were staying longer, I could have spent hours siting there reading and looking out at the harbour and fjord. The restaurant was also first rate, serving the best lamb we had in Iceland and very good rhubarb and chocolate cake desserts.

Very comfortable hotel with large beds and generous rooms. Well located with sensational, large hot tub with sauna. Good breakfast but dinner service rather slow. Views from hotel over harbour really good with excellent opportunity to watch birds and explore surrounding harbour.
