We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, loved the heated floors in the bathroom! The breakfast buffet was good. The beer garden was cozy. It was clean. We did not love the bathroom products, so if you are particular, then I would recommend bringing your own. The location was great with tour excursion busses stopping right in front.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
My mum and I stayed for 3 nights and were so pleased with this hotel. All the staff that we encountered, the concierge, bar staff, management were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so knowledgeable in helping with excursion bookings and transfers to the airport. We paid for breakfast at the hotel; it was a buffet with a great selection of food, lovely and fresh, loads of veggie options too. We ate in the hotels "beer garden". Lovely modern bar that served burgers, fish and chips etc. Huge selection of beers and spirits. We paid £54 for 2 burgers and chips, onion rings, a hendricks and tonic and a glass of red wine. Which considering we were in Iceland and in a hotel bar we found pretty reasonable. The room was a good size with a great view (we were on the 15th floor - lifts were efficient so this didn't bother us) very clean and modern. Only negatives were the radiator being a tad temperamental and the hair dryer being quite weak. If you're anything like my mum and I with thick long hair I'd advise bringing your own or scheduling in plenty of time to dry your hair. It's about a 35 minute walk to the harbour which we found enjoyable as it takes you through the main shopping street in Reykjavik, lots of second hand shops and quirky shops. Ideal if you like being situated close by to the city. Would defo return!

Coming to Reykjavík was a mission and a half. With a 31 hour flight delay. We had missed our first nights accommodation here and didn’t end up getting in until 2am for our second night. After many emails to Fosshotel, they still kept our rooms for us to use. They were so polite and lovely upon our arrival. They also responded to every email within an hour of us sending it! Even walking around the hotel all the staff were very pleasant and always said hello. Cannot recommend them enough! Thank you Fosshótel, you should be proud of the level of service you provide your guests :)

We stayed 3 nights with a Gate 1 tour group. The hotel was conveniently located within short walking distances to museums, restaurants and waterfront scenery. The hotel has access to a variety of sightseeing tours and activities. There is a buffet restaurant on the main floor and for an extra charge breakfast can be included with your stay. There also a beer garden on a lower level with 20 plus different selections of beer. The food is superb and affordable with large portion sizes. The standard rooms are small, but met our needs. The upper floors, (6-16), have excellent views of the city. Each room has two single beds which are pushed together in what they call a “double bed”. My wife loved the heated bathroom floors!!! We definitely recommend this hotel!

Stayed here for my birthday. Great hotel, very clean, tidy and modern. Breakfast was really good, with a large selection. All staff were very helpful. Location was good, perhaps 10 mins max to central Reykjavík (and this was walking on ice!). We did not have a good view, but had not paid for that so it didn’t affect us. If it’s a requirement for you, I would recommend requesting one of the upper floors.
