First time in Reykjavik,Iceland and was unsure which hotel to choose from, but have to say I was not disappointed. Close to(tour/airport) pickup points and several downtown highlights. But overall the staff and hotel is amazing. I'm a New Yorker and talk and move fast...More
We really enjoyed our short 2 nights stay at Apotek. Hotel is very nice, rooms are very comfortable and large. Location is perfect - walking distance to everywhere, and on Laugavegur Street where all action is happening. Having that said, location was very quiet for...More

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly and very, very helpful. I can’t say enough good things about it. Also, the showers are amazing!! An extra thank you to Sofianna and Helena for going the extra mile. You two were great!
FYI. No parking provided by Apotek. However, we did find on street parking. There is a fee during the hours of 9a to 6p. No worries, as you can leave your car that evening and prepay for the hours you need on the following day.

Hi yes the flybus was about £40. We prebooked this and didn't have to wait long before leaving the airport. We did have to change to a smaller bus to take us nearer the hotel, but that was fine. We got our hotel reception to book us a bus pick up for the return journey and I think it was similar price but it was a minibus that went straight to the airport without changing. This was called something like airport pickups, not sure.

The hotel does not have a shuttle - Keflavik airport is about 50 mins drive away. We used fly bus who take you to the edge of Reykjavik and then by mini bus to the hotel - Grey line offer a similar service. Too expensive for a cab - the system worked really well both ways - they have it down to a fine art.
