I'm very surprised of the good reviews for this property, either these people have never travelled and they don't have any other property to compare to or their stay was totally different. How can I start? Firstly, our flight got cancelled due to bad weather in Reykjavik  and when we called the owner to try to get a full even partial refund, the answer was "no". I understand the non-refundable policies , I work in a hotel and I know that it's not about "I can't do it" but about "I dont want to do it " specially when the  circumstances of cancellation were beyond our control.  The only offer we got was having an earlier check in (before 3pm)the following day (when we were able to fly ) . When we arrived we had to remove our shoes ,I didn't like it, there was a box with some dirty

Dear owner Let me give you couple of words of wisdom. Working in hospitality means: being approachable, interacting with guests, being friendly and smile every now and then. All those things cost NOTHING. Same as refunding guests if they couldn't make it because of the weather conditions. Sometimes a good gesture ,refund, a good review or recommendation can take your business much further than where it actually is ( and it's AWFUL ). Clearly for you cleaning or repairing is a four letter word. All you are good at is prohibiting, intimidating people at breakfast and being super unfriendly. Those are the ABCs of hospitality which I should NOT be teaching you . There was absolutely nothing good about my stay ,apart from leaving this burrow. This could have been a good review but

The room was lovely and clean (cleaned on a daily basis), the bed was really comfortable and the owner extremely friendly and helpful. The location is good (BSI bus station is just a 5-minute walk, and city centre is a mere 10-15 minute walk) and in nice surroundings. Although the rooms are not ensuite (you wouldn't expect it at this low price), there is however a sink in the bedroom which made a great difference. The buffet continental breakfast is lovely, with much to choose from. I would definitely return here.
