We choose Sunna for cost and location. It is expensive for about everything in Iceland, but our visit and tours we awesome. At Sunna the room was small but very nice. Our room shared a separate toilet room and shower room with two other rooms. In same area was a kitchen we were free to use and a TV in... More

It was a warm and welcoming place for me as a first timer in Iceland. The rooms were clean and confortable. The receptionist really nice, he helped to carry our luggages up to the room, so was the staff in the kitchen. Breakfast, more than i expected to be!

We booked Sunna for the apartment that would fit our family of four. The apartment includes a kitchen with everything needed for cooking your own meals, including a large refrigerator with freezer. The bathroom is tiny and the shower curtain bar fell during our stay. As with every place we stayed in Iceland, there is one towel provided per person.... More

Overall it was pretty good. It did stink just a little in the halls and it was impossible not to make a lot of noise with the heavy autoclosing doors, but the rooms were clean and tidy. We stayed twice, and the second room with the balcony was definitely more enjoyable! Breakfast was good- homemade breads and a variety of... More

Stayed here twice during out Iceland trip. Once upon arrival and again the night before departure. Location is convenient near the shopping/restaurant areas of Reykjavik. Beds are comfortable and facilities are clean. Guest room to bathroom ratio was about 3 to 1, which was pretty typical. Breakfast was good. Since it is in an active area of Reykjavik there is... This place is expensive and the staff ranges from unfriendly to hateful. Can't believe this family has chosen the hospitality business! The location is good and the breakfast is ok, as long as you don't plan to sleep in. We got in trouble for having tea in the wrong kitchen and then for not bringing tea cups back down... Isn't... Great hotel with terrific location within walking distance of most of the city's sites. The rooms with just a sink and a bed are a great value. I was delighted when the staff told me my room was ready when I checked in around 8am (after an overnight from the US). The hotel provided the same early check in two... More

We stayed at this guesthouse twice during our recent holiday. It is clean and efficient and close to the city center so convenient to everything in Reykjavik. However the room/studio was cramped for three people. The bathroom extremely small and it could do with some modernisation/refurbishment.

Pros: Excellent location Diverse, large breakfast buffet Cons: Cold, unfriendly, unhelpful staff No elevators We were left with a bad taste in our mouth after dealing with a number of staff regarding routine matters: storing luggage, checking in, parking. Additionally, a cleaning person opened our door without knocking, twice, to remind us when checkout was... 45 minutes later. Luckily we... More
