Stayed here twice during out Iceland trip. Once upon arrival and again the night before departure. Location is convenient near the shopping/restaurant areas of Reykjavik. Beds are comfortable and facilities are clean. Guest room to bathroom ratio was about 3 to 1, which was pretty typical. Breakfast was good. Since it is in an active area of Reykjavik there is... This place is expensive and the staff ranges from unfriendly to hateful. Can't believe this family has chosen the hospitality business! The location is good and the breakfast is ok, as long as you don't plan to sleep in. We got in trouble for having tea in the wrong kitchen and then for not bringing tea cups back down... Isn't... Great hotel with terrific location within walking distance of most of the city's sites. The rooms with just a sink and a bed are a great value. I was delighted when the staff told me my room was ready when I checked in around 8am (after an overnight from the US). The hotel provided the same early check in two... More

We stayed at this guesthouse twice during our recent holiday. It is clean and efficient and close to the city center so convenient to everything in Reykjavik. However the room/studio was cramped for three people. The bathroom extremely small and it could do with some modernisation/refurbishment.

Pros: Excellent location Diverse, large breakfast buffet Cons: Cold, unfriendly, unhelpful staff No elevators We were left with a bad taste in our mouth after dealing with a number of staff regarding routine matters: storing luggage, checking in, parking. Additionally, a cleaning person opened our door without knocking, twice, to remind us when checkout was... 45 minutes later. Luckily we... More

For a 3 star place this one worked well. Check in smooth, though could have been more animated and forthcoming with info. Room setup fine except we were right next to a communal toilet - just our luck. Breakfast really good - top staff, plenty of choices and the home made bread and cookies were tops!

We stated this guest house twice on our vacation in Iceland. The first time was on our first day on arrival. The second was on our last day prior to departure. This location is excellent for walking around the city center. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast in the morning is quite excellent. I... More

The guesthouse is directly in the neighbourhood of Hallgrímskirkja (1 min walk). The rooms are simple but clean and quiet. I had one with shared bath which is ok for just a short stay. If you need total darkness for sleeping I would recommend a sleeping mask if you go in summer. But I thought it was ok. The staff... More

A few friends and I finally managed to go on a roadtrip together and came to Sunna guesthouse after touring around Iceland. Sunna is located right in downtown Reykjavik, about 100m away from the famous Hallgrimm´s church, yet still easy to reach when you come to Reykjavik. In our case we had a reservation for two double rooms w/ breakfast... More
