Best location to be at Reykjavik. The famous hotdogs stand that Clinton made popular is right next to it. Other restaurants and main attractions are walking distance. Staff was very courteous and responsive.
Great hotel. Brilliant location, the staff were excellent and went out of there way to help us. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice. Excellent stay and would highly recommend for a great stay in this lovely city. We had to get a last minute taxi to one of our trips and the buses were cancelled. The girl at the hotel couldn’t be more helpful and has a taxi with us in less than 10 minutes. Breakfast also very good.
We booked a Standard Room and were happy with our choice. While researching which hotel to book in Reykjavik it seemed that all hotels in a good central location have a noise problem (during weekends) as the people in Iceland like to party. Therefore we requested a quiet room and got a room facing a courtyard. Of course that was no view to write home about but we slept really good, no noise, very good mattress and bedding. The only minus about our Standard Room was that when you opened the door you were already in the middle of the room - no little corridor or so. Check-in + check-out was smooth and the receptionists were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was in the Radisson restaurant Brut. The breakfast buffet had all you could ask for, cosy atmosphere and also very nice attentive staff. Close by is the bus stop no. 3 one of the stops were excursion companies and airport buses do their pick up/drop off. If you get hungry and do not want to go to a restaurant there is Hlöllatbar Sandwich kiosk around which also has yummy wraps.…
Centrally located, smart hotel. Rooms well appointed, especially the bathrooms. Our double room was tiny though, compared to our teenagers' twin room, even though both were the same category/price. The flip side of the central location is that it was noisy, as we were there on a Friday night and the locals were all out partying! Breakfast service started at 7am, but since we needed to leave before that to get to the airport, the hotel staff provided a takeaway breakfast, which was very much appreciated.
Difficult to review this hotel - great rooms, great staff, great location, great food, very rarely do I give a hotel a 5 star rating, there is always something that could be improved, however, this time cannot find anything to highlight that needed improvement
The Rooms get hot at night so you have to open the windows because there is no air condition. It is extremely loud at night you have the bar crowd going to the hotdog stand right next to the hotel. I saw 30 drunk and loud people lined up at the hotdog stand at three in the morning and I also saw four girls screaming and fighting and the music from the night club goes on and on and on. Even with the windows closed it’s loud the certainly can’t be the first time they have heard this I wish they would invest in some impact windows or perhaps air conditioning to help block the street noise.
Below average check-in experience by a Manager who asked me to show proof of my membership level (despite having booked the room through the Hotel App/membership included) - Very hot room and no temperature control, and very noisy all night with loud/drunk people on the street below - glass could have been double-paned for such a level hotel.
Radisson Reykjavik offers a very good location, usual high comfort as well as pleasant and professional service. Despite being in the city center, the hotel is quiet and silent, so you can have a good and real rest.
Staff in the hotel were so genuinely caring and helpful. Hotel room was comfortable, though could do with drawer storage for clothes. Basic amenities in the room. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant on site is great for dinner but very basic and below average for breakfast (separate business to the hotel). Cafe on site also provides barista coffee and snacks. No parking available.
