When we arrived at the hotel at 10PM something was wrong with our Booking reservation but luckily the young man at the reception managed to find a room for my son. He was really kind and professional and didn't lose his temper like sometimes happens here in Italy in a similar situation. We stayed in this hotel for two nights. It lies in the center of Reykjavik, near the restaurants and shops . It is easy for the tourist to stroll about and visit all the main places of interest without using the car. Fron Hotel doesn't have a private parking, but you can find lots of parking facilities in the neighbourhood. We had no problems about that, even if I must admit that 2020 is a peculiar year, with not many tourists around Iceland. Buffet breakfast. Good value for money.

We stayed 1 night in a smaller room then went on a 3-day tour and came back to stay another 4 nights in a larger apartment. Everything about this place was fantastic. First of all the staff are terrific. We arrived very early in the morning on Day 1; and they were able to get us into a room right away, which allowed us to unload our things, take a brief catnap, and freshen up. When we went on our 3-day tour, the hotel allowed us to leave a suitcase behind for safe keeping. They provided us with a fantastic recommendation for dinner (lamb at Matarkjallarinn). And when we called them after having checked out and headed to the airport only to discover our flight was cancelled, they were able to accommodate us for another night in our same room at a discounted rate. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. The first room was smaller but offered plenty of room and was just what we needed for a one-night stay. The second apartment was spacious and offered us the ability to spread out. There was a balcony. The kitchen had a kettle, coffeemaker, and refrigerator. Breakfast each morning was a nice array of continental offerings. The location cannot be beat. We walked everywhere. Shops and restaurants are right outside the door. We visited Harpa, City Hall, Sun Voyager, the Saga Museum, etc., all on foot. After breakfast each morning, we headed to Kaffibrennslan for coffee. Lovely, friendly coffeehouse. We will definitely return!

In the middle of the COVID crisis I was stuck without a room and the Cafe staff and Hotel came to the rescue with emergency accommodation even though the hotel was closed until I could get a flight the followig day. I really can't thank the cafe staff and owner enough. And when the hotel re-opens I would strongly recommend the hotel in all events - for the warmth and kindness of the staff and owner - but also for the really comfortable, well appointed and very charming hotel rooms if the emergency accommodation was typical. The cafe is really nice too - with great ambiance and affordable great food and drink. Will strongly recommend to everyone I know. The hotel and staff is a fantastic ambassador for Reykjavok and people of Iceland. Heartfelt Thank you.

I chose this hotel in the middle of Laugavegur, perfect location on the main street. The staff on arrival were all helpful throughout my stay. The single room was bigger than I imagined it would be, facing the street below which wasn't nearly as loud as I would have thought, even at night. Nice sized bed, shower room, TV, safe, toiletries, kettle, only thing I would have liked was teabags in the room (which really wasn't an issue though) Breakfast available was continental and simple. Restaurants, bars, shops, etc were literally on the doorstep. It was easy to reach any bus stop for trips or transfers. All in all I would stay here again, nice staff and nice hotel.

The hotel is in a decent location for bars, restaurants, shops and bus stops. I think we just fell unlucky on our room: one of our plug sockets didn’t work, the room did not lock from the inside. The room was also far too hot despite turning the radiator down. Another point, no complimentary tea and coffee sachets in the room despite there being a coffee machine and kettle. On the plus side, breakfast was pretty decent, beds are comfy, TV has English channels, shower is powerful, hotel is clean and fairly modern
