My husband & I stayed at the Reykjavik Lights hotel for 3 nights at the end of March. The hotel is modern and clean; the rooms are not the biggest but you spend so much time exploring that you are hardly ever in there. It is about 20 minutes into the centre of Reykjavik and as

We stayed here for three nights in November and I could not faulty the hotel in any way, it was perfect and the staff were so friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The hotel is clean and the room had everything we needed, basic, but ideal for the stay. I cannot find

Very good value for money. Small, but clean, new rooms with everything what is needed. Location rather unpleasant, but city center can be easily reached by bus or car in less than 5 min. Personel not particularly friendly, they just do their job.

We have to stay extra days in the hotel due to flight cancellation. We had to call the Icelandair for the status of rebooking. The staff at the reception area help to call and let us stayed beyond the check out time. Once we confirmed the flight, we stayed two extra nights at

This was our first trip to Iceland, myself, husband and teen. The hotel is a mile or so outside of city center, but we liked that it wasn't right in the thick of everything. We had a triple room. Having the third twin bed was a little tight at first, but we got used to it

It is very safe to walk back from the centre in the evening time, although we do now have late night buses that go until 01:00 I believe. All of the restaurants save for the pizzeria close at 22:00, and a downtown dinner experience is something I definitely recommend!

Hi. How do we pre book transport from the airport to the hotel?
Tin foil hats aside, I would recommend booking either the flybus, or the airport express. Shuttles tend to leave approx 45 minutes after each flight arrival. The average price is around 4,000 ISK per person. A taxi from the airport to reykjavik is expensive, approx 16,000 ISK one way. Renting a car is great way to get around Iceland if you're planning on visiting the sights yourself. Best Regards, Arnar B

What time is check in? Can you pay for early check in??
Hello, Check in begins at 14:00. Unfortunately as of now the only way to guarantee an early check in is to book the previous night. We always try our best to accommodate our early arrivals, but is always subject to availability.
