This was our return visit to amazing Iceland and there was no question that we would return to the Kvosin Downtown Hotel. From start to finish their attentive service to guests is second to none - the front desk team have to be applauded as they will help with any arrangements that you need to make - booking trips ( which are excellent and a must do ) , recommending places to eat and visit in the city, booking transfers to and from the airport and generally being LOVELY . Iceland can feel like a whole new adventure and their advice is very, very helpful especially of this will be your first visit . The rooms are really fabulous and we especially enjoyed the kitchenette facilities in the bigger room for early breakfasts, snacks ,those essential cuppas and dare I say your very own happy hour to protect your holiday budget !!! The rooms were serviced every day and were SPOTLESS. The bar is a lovely spot for cool aperitifs and plates to share . This time breakfast was on offer which is a big bonus . The location of the hotel is .we feel. perfect as everything is just a stone's throw away - crucially bus stop 1 for those must do trips, the best restaurants, cafes, shops etc. The main sights - the Rainbow Street , Harpa, the harbour , the Sun Voyager etc are also just a stroll away . You could not pick a better spot ! We don't think that you could find ONE negative about this charming hotel . We have no hesitation in awarding it 10/10

Our family of 4 just returned and we had a good stay. Hotel is in a good location downtown and we walked all over. Kids breakfast is 11euros and adults 22.- the young lady working breakfast was really sweet and enjoyed chatting with her in the am before we went out to golden circle and south coast. We were on the second floor and noise wasn’t too bad at all. They provide earplugs in rooms. I had a hard time finding the fridge in the room- it is just a small metal drawer fyi. They pump hot water into the frozen water so the ducks and swans stick around and you can feed them and ice skate or just walk on the frozen water. We bought bread and fed them. Book restaurants in advance.

From the welcome on arrival to the comfort and style of our room, free coffee in reception and helpful advice on getting around Reykjavik, everything to do with Kvosin exceeded our expectations. Great location for picking up bus trips at city hall and boat trips at the harbour.

Nice hotel with a perfect location in the heart of old Reykjavik. Still very calm and quiet location. Clean and spacious room with a small separate bedroom & living room with kitchenette. If you go summertime enough curtains so you'll get both rooms dark (despite of midnight sun). Separate toilet and bathroom which was nice since we were three persons sharing the room or more like a small apartment. Friendly staff. Lots of good restaurants nearby (walking distance). Also short walk to all main sights. No keys - electric code - which also was very nice. Breakfast was served at downstair's pub. They offered bread, croissants, two different cold cuts, cheese, two different skyr, fresh fruits different kinds, boiled eggs, cereals, coffee, tea, juices and smoothies and also some sweet cake. Enough variation for few mornings - we stayed four nights. Only minus for light sleepers is the cathedral ringing the bells across the street every 15 minutes. Did not bother us.

Hotel’s location is very central and convenient to get to many places. All staff are very friendly and helpful; had even helped us make dinner reservations and requests. Rooms are spacious and clean. We travelled with kids and found the stay to be most comfortable and would highly recommend the same to families travelling with young children.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Kvosin Downtown Hotel. The room/suite was very clean and comfortable. The shower was so gorgeously hot and powerful. Really cosy and warm too which was important after being out in the cold snowy weather. Nice outlook, and great to have the sofa to chill out on between exploring. Appreciated the Nespresso machine too! The continental breakfast was good - not a huge amount of choice - but sufficient. The reception and bar staff were all very helpful and friendly. The Kvosin Hotel is really well located. Literally a minute to one of the bus stops where all the tour operators pick up people for the amazing trips available. Also only a few minutes to a huge variety of coffee shops and restaurants. Great location for exploring the town easily.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 7 days as did the friends we were traveling with. Without exception, the entire staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located and close to many excellent restaurants. We received several recommendations (upon asking) and they were fabulous! We would definitely recommend this hotel!
