Nice Place to stay for a couple of nights. Rooms are all modern, spacious and clean. There are four rooms and two shared toilets and showers. The only small complaint was that on our first morning, the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly - there were so many hairs all over the bathroom floor; so don't forget your flip...

Cozy bedrooms, simple decor, the owner is very pleasent. The property is central, which is good to explore the city by feet. Very close to the bus terminal (BSI), good link from the Keplavik airport. Very good wifi speed

This place was lovely to stay in,good value for money and very central to everything we wanted to do! The decor was beautiful an exactly what we needed in a quite setting but only a 20min leisurely walk to the town centre and 5mins to the bsi (bus station) which is the best place to gets sheeps head in Reykjavik.

Like many other people, we ended up in Iceland for a few days because of the cheap Icelandair flights to Europe. Smaragata was a perfect place to stay because it's walking distance from the bus station (go out the back door, cross the street, pass the statue of running animals and 'do not enter' symbol.) it's a guest house so...

We stayed here with our family - As my brothers kids joined us in the last minute, I had to opt for another service apartment in the same area. Smaragata rooms was the 1st choice based on the location. So we opted that my 2 kids & 2 nieces stay in this apartment since our apartment booking was for 2...

When the taxi dropped us off we thought we were wrong, because the guesthouse really just looked like an ordinary home of someone. Don't let it irritate you. The welcome was very warm and the rooms are wonderful. You can clearly see that they put a lot of work in the decoration and construction of the rooms. The bathrooms are...

The accommodation has its own separate entrance as well as 2 excellent shared shower rooms and a fully functional kitchen. The location is great - 2 minutes walk from the BSI bus station,...

Myself and my partner stayed for two nights over the last weekend. We arrived at the accommodation to be welcomed outside by the host who showed us in and allowed us the choice of rooms which was nice to have the choice. The host also recommended some places to eat which was great to get some local knowledge. We went...

Nicely decorated and cosy room. Shared but clean and good bathrooms. Kitchen facilities and basic provisions for tea/coffee etc provided which was a nice touch. Also very warm welcome from the owner. Parking no problem despite central location. Recommended!

Excellent place to stay for our 3 nights in Reykjavik. The owner greeted us on arrival and was very nice, the rooms were spotless as were the facilities, kitchen, bathrooms.. Location was perfect, 10 minute walk to the town and a stone throw from bus station to connect with transfers to and from airport. All in all, a very pleasant...
