Good location only 5 minutes from Hlemmur bus station and city centre. Variety of properties form this hostel - I stayed in the "main building". Single room - basic, clean, with sink and small fridge. No communal kitchen or lounge area. Staff friendly and efficient. Adequate toilets and shower facilities. Free unlimited WiFi. Buildings appear to be a collection of...

Great location within walking distance to shopping area and church. Rooms are basic - but all that are needed - and affordable. Have stayed here on multiple occasions - and won't hesitate to stay again.

The price was very reasonable, the staff were great very knowledgeable as to where to shop, swim etc., clean. Anything we wanted we asked for and they had it ie knife, plate etc for nibbles in our room. Outside sitting area, laundry facilities, breakfast at a reasonable cost , kitchen sitting area equipped with fridge, stove etc. where you could...

Very quiet even though it's near a heavy traffic street. Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast a bit overpriced. You might need to walk up the street to find the house with your room. Had to change rooms with no problems.

Let's face it, Iceland is crazy expensive! But this is def the way to do it. My friend and I booked the hostel apartment for 4 nights and it was really perfect. Clean, with a small kitchen and sitting area - what you would expect from a hostel. Staff were friendly and available. And the location excellent, 5 minutes walk...

Reykjavik hostel village is a good accomodation to spend one night to visit the city. Average quality. Nice shower. Walking distance to the city center. Easy parking in the street. It has a kitchen fully equiped. They also offer breakfast but we haven't take it. Reasonable price.

I really liked the location of this hostel and how small it was. There was always available parking for my rental car right in front of the place and I was able to walk to most of Reykjavik. I also really liked the receptionist who was working when I visited. The rooms are plain and have the bare minimum of...

Reception closes at 4pm, but the hostel staff emailed beforehand with instructions (a code to the door, where the keys were in envelopes on a table inside for guests that were arriving after 4pm). The hostel was easy to get to and very clean. Very good location.

We stayed in Hostel Village on two occasions in April 2017. We were not pleased with our stay. It was without doubt the least pleasant stay we had in Iceland. No one was there to visit us on the two occasions of arrival or departure. On our second stay we found a map in the envelope with our key to...
