Really lovely place to stay. Great location, staff were very welcoming and helpful. Both the woman and man that alternated reception were lovely. The room was spacious and modern. We didn’t hear much noise within the hotel at all. Outside was a little noisy at times but it’s central to bars so that’s to be expected! However, we were so tired and the beds were comfy so sleeping well was not a problem! We had a lovely view of the church too :-)
Stayed here for two nights. Made to feel very welcome by lady on reception (sorry didn’t catch your name). Changed rooms a couple of times due to wanting a double rather than twins which was no problem. Free tea and coffee at reception. Location is perfect, right in town. Was a little noisy on the Saturday night due to being behind a busy pub but was fine. Apartment clean and tidy, the venue was going through a refurb at the time so a little disruptive with carpets not laid but when completed will be lovely. Would definitely stay again.
Our stay at room with a view was the most enjoyable of our 3 similarly priced hotels in Iceland. Could have been a 5 star for the money if not for a few minor inconveniences. Overall though our experience was positive and it was during Christmas so half the negatives can be excused. The positives (we had an apartment): Big room Clean Lots of furniture and facilities in the room Large bathroom Modern Helpful and friendly staff 24/7 Central location Free coffee and tea facilities in foyer Decent cooking facilities Negatives: .Spa up stairs for guests was not maintained well and did not feel clean .Our door lock did not lock properly from the get go and it took many attempts with the magnetic card to lock. We stayed 3 nights And it did not get fixed during our stay HOWEVER it was during Christmas holiday so delays are to be expected. Was mainly annoying as it was like that before our stay. .The room was short on cutlery when we entered however this was rectified immediately .it could be noisy at night (expected when staying in downtown main street) I would recommend guests who want to be central to food and drink + tourist information and transport. We believe it was good value for what we paid and the apartment was so handy mid trip to be able to spread out and prepare our own food. A washing machine would be a positive improvement …
Booked through secret escapes. Easy and pleasant check in/out. 503 on top floor with great view looking out onto the church and harbour. Modern bedroom and bathroom. Would definitely recommend this hotel due to it prime location and modern room.
Really clean and spacious apartment - it's an excellent location if you're catching any of the tour buses and looking for places to eat. It's also only a few minutes walk to Hallgrimskirkja. We had a nice view of the bay, there's free coffee and filtered water downstairs also. Really good WiFi: 90mbps down, 88mbps up, 3ms ping. Had good 4G coverage also.
