We started and ended our vacation at Hotel 101. It was perfectly located. Close to everything. We enjoyed shopping and there are lots of Resturants within walking distance. Room was very comfortable, modern design, though a little tight on space around the bed, with limited storage area.

Comfortable place to stay in downtown Reykjavik. Good location. We had a Double Deluxe room, which was large enough and quite modern. The rooms have been modernized with ensuite bathrooms inserted by partitioning part of the room with opaque glass panels, including the shower and separate toilet. The wash basin is open in the room. If you have the double... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon. The hotel was fine, but the room was relatively small and incredibly expensive all things considered. My only real comment is please, please, please put doors on the bathrooms. Perhaps it's trendy to be all open, etc, but after three days of marriage it was still a little awkward. For some people, myself included,... More

My husband and I stayed at 101 hotel for 2 nights. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel has a great boutique feeling. Our suite was on the 3rd floor and it was great. Large, with a great view. We did not experience any street noise at all. There was a club next door, but we did not hear any... More

Very disappointing experience. When we were given a room on the first floor looking right out onto the main street I asked if it would be noisy. I was assured it would not be. We were up all night with people screaming and singing outside. They would not give us another room. The front desk personnel were uninterested in helping.... More

We were so excited to stay in this hotel but were deeply disappointed. The fist night we were given a room on the ground floor which we thought was going to be really noisy because we could here the parties going on outside our hotel but the person at the desk assured us it would be fine. Of course it... More

First of all we have to take into account that this is a quite expensive hotel, ( over 700 euros/night a standard room and 1300 euros / night the room we were staying) so our expectations were accordingly high. Nevertheless when my travel agent propose me this hotel I immediately checked the trypadvisor reviews and I saw they were not... More

101 is cool and comfortable but misses on so many fronts. Some of the rooms have weird layouts making space unusable. The staff can be indifferent unless you approach them softly. I've stayed in six of the hotels in Reykjavik and I think 101 is the best but it's a long way from being a great hotel.

This Hotel advertise themselves as being 5 Star Luxury Hotel , not only they are not even close to 4 stars, but they don't pay commission to bookings made through travel agencies, their rates are excessively high for the quality you will receive. You will be really disappointed, BEWARE of having breakfast as they will charge you for full buffet,... More

We really liked the hotel experience. Rooms are nice. There are well appointed rooms. Elegantly designed hotel. Food is nice. The best location in town. The spa in the basement is great. Negative is the service; it was surly, limited and not attentive. The staff clearly did not want to help. Even with the lacking service, it was a great... More
