Transfer to this hotel was easy using the Flybus Plus from the airport. Once we arrived it was easy to get checked in and find our room! Rooms: they are basic but we found we only used it to sleep in, however beds are comfy there is a kettle, tv and safe in the room. We were lucky enough to... More

Stayed at the Fossbaron for 3 nights in one of the beautiful french themed rooms. Amazing nights sleep, great shower with a only natural smell of sulphur due to the nature of Iceland! It is basically in front of the most stunning snowy moutains and the ocean, just breathtaking. Great location for excursion pick ups and only a short walk... More

We just got back from a 4 day trip to Reykjavik and were very pleased with our stay. The room was about what we expected for a European room and pleasantly warm. The staff was helpful and friendly and the buffet breakfast was delicious. All the tour groups pick up from the hotel and it is only about a 10... More

Well located between Main Street and harbour and nearby 24 hour supermarket. Good restaurants nearby, as are many attractions. Rooms comfortable. Staff extremely helpful, have us excellent advice on tours and attractions. When our luggage did not arrive they helpfully suggested going to the nearby Red Cross.

This hotel is smaller than the photos on its website make it appear. There is no real lobby space, so waiting for shuttles and tours can get crowded. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from. My room was tiny, but clean and comfortable. The hotel is just a short walking... More

Just returned from 3 nights at the Fosshotel Baron and were very pleased with it. Our room was pleasant, warm (really important in January as Iceland was very cold and snowy),had a lovely view out over the sea, was very clean and had exceptionally comfortable beds. Wi Fi was free, fast and reliable. The staff were all very friendly and... More

The staff at the Fosshotel Baron were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was perfectly located in the city and served as an excellent starting point for day trips. The room, while simple, was clean and adequate for a trip where you spend little time inside. The breakfast offered a variety and was filling enough to hold us over until... More

Returned yesterday from a 4 night stay at this hotel. It was perfect in every respect; close to the main shopping street with loads of cafes and restaurants and across the road from the sea. The hotel is warm, clean and comfortable; best compared to a Premier Inn/Holiday Inn Express in UK. Our room (a twin) was small and the... More

The Fosshotel Baron is in a very central location, a couple of minutes to the main street and maybe a 10 minute walk to the main harbour area. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was good and the fact that they offered to open the breakfast area early (530am) for us to be able to eat before we got... More
