Clean accommodations, friendly, knowledgeable owners. Stayed here for a few days at the height of the summer season. Located in a residential neighborhood about 30 minute walk from the center of town.

Never having stayed in a "guesthouse" - it was 50/50 - an adventure. The reviews were all positive, clean property, cordial host etc. The price was affordable for Reykjavik, a pricey place. Arriving on the "red eye", early in the morning, I contacted our host, Herman. The airport is a bit of a drive into Reykjavik, but Herman said come...

This was a very enjoyable experience. Rooms and kitchen, bathroom were very clean and well stocked. Iceland is very safe and English used all the time. Everywhere we went, we used charge cards and truly did not need cash. I suggest using a phone gps even when walking until you are familiar with the area. Get a bus pass the...

Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers stayed at Helga's Guesthouse as a jumping point to our rental of a camper to drive the Ring Road around Iceland. We spent two nights in two downstairs rooms. The rooms were clean and equipped with blackout curtains. We had a shared bathroom with shower and a shared kitchen. The eat...

The place was clean, comfortable, well organized. The Owner was friendly and warm - we had lost our luggage and he helped us out in dealing with the airlines. we stayed 2 nights (not consecutively) here - we enjoyed our stay. The Owner was very clear with dos and donts (which was nice, so there was no confusion), kitchen was...

I stayed at Guesthouse Helga for 3 days along with my wife. The rooms were spacious, clean and very well maintained. Owner Herman is someone whom I would call the perfectionist who strives to keep things in their own places. He was very friendly and helped us with our planning, voluntarily. The common areas were also professionaly maintained and this...

A wonderful b&b with beautifully decorated rooms and clean shared bathrooms. Guests are allowed to use the kitchen , where there is an endless supply of beverages. Very friendly owner. The location is perfect as its just a couple of miles from downtown Reykjavik . The owner was well aware of vegetarian restaurants around the city that really helped us...

The location is a short drive from the city center and the houses around the area (including the guesthouse) are beautiful. The host was very helpful, but if you are an introvert it might take you a little bit to get used to his extrovert personality. The room was cozy, and the bathroom was also comfortable. Door locks can be...

Stayed here in February this year. Our booking was accidentally cancelled and rebooked to someone else. The owner still managed to give us a room for one night, he also refunded our 2 other nights in cash and drove us to our new hotel the next day. Extremely clean, comfy beds and beautiful scenery.
