I have stayed in many, many hotels over the years with work and for holidays, and I can honestly say that this hotel is one of my absolute favourites! I love the vibe that this hotel exudes, it is so welcoming, quirky, clean, beautifully designed and you just have to love the Icelandic sense of humour. The music that is played throughout, night and day, makes you want to sit in the hotel and chill out, especially on a cold, windy and snowy day. It's toasty warm and has the best atmosphere, so much so we stayed in and ate in the Slipbarrinn practically every night. The food is absolutely delicious too. Our room was overlooking the marina with fantastic views of the snow covered mountains in the distance. A beautiful room with comfy beds and pillows and great hairdryer too. Nice L'Occitane toiletries in the bathroom. What more can I say other than that I will be returning to this hotel whenever I can afford to visit Iceland again! Thank you Reykjavik Marina!

One of the Understated hotels. Let us start with the Positives and Pluses. We had the Delux Marina Bay Room Room Size is good The View and small balcony awesome Loads of Restaurants near by Bust Stop 15 for all tours 200 mtrs away also Hop on and Hop of Excellent toiletries Reception staff with Kasha and Huddur very very receptive and accommodative and informative Walking distance to the downtown area and markets Ocean tours right opposite Cons High Pressure water in the shower leads to the bathroom water flooding into the room Breakfast was totally repetitive for 5 days good for a day tour but definitely not for 5 days same same and same and small things like eggs to order and changes in other food items would help

Really nice hotel decor/ ambience, with lots of quiet alcoves for groups. Very helpful reception area and staff to help solve any issues with how to get to places, organise a pack breakfast for early checkout on final day. Even helped with a bit of printing I required. Smaller room, but perfect for solo - reward scheme in place for reuse of towels during stay. All good touches - recommend.

We chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is located at the dry docks in Reykjavik and the dry docks are in full use. It is a short walk from the hotel to the center of the city. At the check-in, I mentioned the reason we chose the hotel and the staff jumped on it and upgraded us to a junior suite! Wow! That was not expected and what a nice treat it was. Amazing. The suite is wonderful and has a view over the dry docks and the harbor. It is very industrial but that is the charm of the hotel in my opinion. I am enclosing a picture I took from our balcony over the dry dock where they were painting a ship. The breakfast at Slippbarinn was very good and had nice seating. The food was very good. My very best greetings to the staff and thanks for being amazing.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It’s just next to a working dry dock and close to restaurants and Maritime museum. Warm welcome on arrival and early check in not a problem. Hotel is a real hub for locals and they have lots of cosy seating areas to sit at the bar area. Happy hour is a must as cocktails, beers and wines reasonably priced. Menu includes sharing food, including charcuterie and cheese board. Breakfast started at 6.30am which was very handy for day trips. Bus stop 15 just next to hotel which was way for our Jet2 trips pick up and drop off. Lovely and warm inside when it’s blowing a gale. All staff very friendly and attentive

Don’t let the outside appearance put you off. This is a lovely hotel. Staff were friendly. We had an early flight and it was no problem for them to let us check in earlier than expected. They were so helpful. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. Great location to explore and bus stop near to travel or catch tour excursion bus or hop on and hop off tour. Clean with nice spacious room. Has lots of quirky features, our guide told us this used to be a paint factory! Lots of downstairs space to sit and relax or catch up with friends. Lots of nearly restaurants, particularly liked Lamb and the bakery across the street at the back. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting Perlan, loved the flyover Iceland and walked miles in some challenging weather to visit landmarks and see the town. Also enjoyed the 7 step ritual at sky lagoon. Fabulous trip and will definitely be back to this hotel.

The Reykjavik Marina Hotel was included for the first night on a cruise that I was taking and I booked it for 1 additional night at my own expense. It was centrally located near the harbor and about a 2 minute walk to many restaurants in the harbor area. It is also very centrally located to many of the museums and the a large Pond with lots of different birds. The rooms are cozy but very comfortable with a small but very efficient bathroom, it was just perfect for me. Breakfast was included, a very substantial buffet breakfast with many choices and good coffee. What made the hotel so pleasant for me was the staff at the front desk, they could not have been more helpful when I asked about a coffee shop close by since I arrived in the late morning and their restaurant is closed. Even though there are large groups staying at the hotel they never seemed rushed or too busy to help but the one person that to me was outstanding was a chap named Danielo. If ever I am in Reykjavik I would stay at this hotel again since I have such good memories.

Lovely hotel in excellent location, quick walk into city centre and right near harbour for whale watching. Hotel provided shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Very comfortable, modern with lovely restaurant and bar. Only downside was the amount of time we waited in the reception area as they failed to inform us multiple times that our trips were cancelled due to weather (these were organised through the hotel) it left us then unable to arrange anything else.
