Thought it would be fun for the kids to experience hostelling and as this was right next door to the outdoor pool we frequent (daily) when we're Reykjavik I booked a private room for four with private bathroom. Surly reception lady. No welcome, no orientation, she just said "booking" Not enough sheets, duvets and pillow cases but thankfully she provided...

First the bad bit .... it's quite a way out of the main city centre but with a car or using public transport, this is not a problem. The good bit now .... we stayed as a family of three in a private four bunk bed room with en suite bathroom. Good price as accommodation in Iceland, even in January,...

This place is perfect for the budget conscious traveller. Private rooms with en-suite, comfy beds and enough space to make the rooms liveable for a few days. Friendly staff, good kitchen facilities again perfect if you are on a budget. Bus service to downtown right outside the door, may be a bit of a walk for some people but takes...

We had a very pleasant stay here during our time in Iceland. The facility was clean, and the staff was very friendly. There is free parking on site which was a nice touch and the receptionist even gave us free coffees upon our arrival!

Stayed at the hostel on the 5th of December for 6 nights I found the rooms to be very clean and in good order. The staff were very helpful with any tours that needed booking. I would recommend that the hostel install a vending machine with snacks and drinks for guests that arrive late. I found the breakfast over priced...

I liked this hostel very much. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, toilets were clean too. Kitchen with a good view to a parking lot :) Everything was good, except for one - it was a bit cold. Blankets are really warm, but being in a room, not covered by a blanket was not very comfortable.

We arrived at the hostel in the evening. We were cold and hungry. We were glad to have found our accommodation. We checked in and went to our room. We were not prepared that we had to prepare our beds by ourselves! We were surprised that towels were not provided. Luckily I had brought two flimsy ones. There are only...

The hostel was lovely. Staff were great and very helpful with any questions. The room was modern and clean and you could adjust the heating. The bathroom was also very well kept. The kitchen was full up with cutlery and cooking utensils. Sometimes there was no space in the fridge or seats available but the other kitchen was easily accessible...

This hostel is great and very green! The staff are very nice and helpful. There are lots of places to go to be by yourself and relax if you need to get away. The bathrooms and the rooms are very clean. Be prepared to make your own bed though. Towels can be rented but I think it's easier just to...

This is big and spread out hostel. Three kitchen, common rooms, washer and dryer. The staff is nice. City Park is in the behind building. The parking is free. This is a short walking distance to city pool which is huge. This cost 900 ISK...or 9 bucks. Worth it. The sculpture museum is also nearby. On negative side 6 inch...
