Great place, we got one of the refurbed rooms which are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and were very large, which is impressive in Reykjavik. We liked this place so much we stayed for a second night rather than go to an airport hotel which would’ve been more convenient for our early flight the next day. The spa is lovely and very pleasant, the staff are all very polite and couldn’t have done more to assist with things like getting us cutlery for a takeaway we’d bought. The receptionist also was extremely helpful in allowing us to book the same room for another night even though it was a bit tricky, and we thought they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Very quiet at night, not near any landmarks but without a car anyway in Reykjavik it’s pretty difficult to get around so it didn’t matter that it wasn’t in the centre. Really great job upgrading the hotel.

Modern hotel outside the main city centre, no big shops or restaurants in the area. Stayed in a top floor panoramic suite with spacious sitting area, walk-in shower, large balcony with great view overlooking Reykjavik and the ocean beyond. check-in and check-out efficient. Good quality sleep though windows are not sound proof and traffic noise could be heard. Spa rather disappointing with a small warm pool and adjacent hot tub -- quite crowded if more than 3 people there, there is also a sauna in the changing room.

This place looked nicer In the photos. It’s definitely time to renovate and bring the building up to a modern standard. The reception area is nice. However, when you arrive at your room it’s like travelling back to the 1980s.

Stayed for long weekend in july 2020. Had a basic double room. Room was nice and clean but was a little dated. TV only had 1 channel which was english. Good location shops and restaurants walking distance but around 2000kr taxi to city centre. Very friendly hotel employees and great food in downstairs restaurant. Lovely hotel but rooms could be improved.

My partner and I had booked through secret escape package for a few nights and had arrived to Iceland during a Red Weather Alert due to a storm therefore we had lost a day in our visit and had to stay indoors as the whole country was on lockdown. Luckily our hotel was very cosy and looked after their guests. We stayed in one of the old rooms which was cosy and clean, that was the most important thing for us was the cleanliness and hygiene! We had used the spa which was quite small with a jacuzzi, swimming pool and floating pool. Overall it was quite cosy and relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they were kind enough to call our tour operators and reschedule our tours for us. We had breakfast with our stay which was also lovely with many options for vegetarians such as non dairy milk etc. We had dinner once in the hotel restaurant and even though the menu was limited, the food was excellent! The location was about a 10 minute drive into town which wasn't an issue for us as we had rented a car for our stay (the hotel offers free parking which was a big plus for us)! I believe the restaurant used to shut early and they did not offer room service which would have made it more of a pleasant stay but then again I am not sure whether this was because of the storm and staff had to go home early. Over all we enjoyed our stay!
