Stayed there for a total of about 5 hours after arriving from the airport and then heading out on an excursion early the next morning. Simple, clean room fit for purpose and all very reasonably priced. Worth differentiating the Fosshotel Lind from the bigger Fosshotel as my taxi went to the wrong one initially.

Hotel is close to the centre in a quiet area. Staff is helpful, but the hotel lacks atmosphere. The room is of a reasonable size and the beds are good. But it is like a monk's cell. Nothing on the wall, colours white: sterile. I was surprised that the shower cabin had curtains instead of doors. To be improved!

This was my last hotel to stay in during my 10 day trip throughout Iceland. It was clean and simple but the bathroom was tiny and the shower was hard to use because it was SOOOO tiny. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable so I was glad I only stayed one night. Nice location (only about a 10 minute... More

I am traveling with a Walking Adventures International group & got bumped from the former Best Western Fosshotel up the block due to overbooking. I actually like this hotel better than the former Best Western. It seems newer, fresher & nicely appointed. They have TWO Happy Hours in a pleasant bistro-type lounge/restaurant. Breakfast is provided downstairs & has many choices.

This is probably the most spartan of the Fosshotels in Reykjavik but served our purposes just fine. It was in the older part of the city and we were able to walk from here to coffee shops, a walking tour in the center of the old city, a few blocks up to the Hallgrimskirche, the shopping streets, restaurants. We also... More

Having spent the previous night in a dump of a hotel we were pleased to find here a clean, modern room with all the facilities expected of a tourist hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There was secure free parking at the rear of the establishment. The hotel had an elevator so we didn't have to drag our bags... More

We stayed here for just one night, and that was plenty. The room was tiny. The shower was so small that I can't imagine a grown man using it. It left the bathroom floor covered in water. Breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about. It's a fine place to kick off an adventure in Iceland, but I wouldn't... More

Central location, not exactly a picturesque area of Reykjavik, but the city rarely is 'pretty'. This is your usual basic and comfortable hotel room. It won't wow you, but it ticks all of the boxes. Breakfast is nice enough, staff were all lovely and helpful.

This is a typical European hotel; nice spread at breakfast and pretty small rooms. Hard to turn around in the bathroom (LOL). Certainly comfortable and I wouldn't shy away from staying here--just don't expect lots of space. Don't miss the Resto restaurant across the street; we passed it everyday with nary a glance and finally decided to give it a... More
