Awesome hotel. We rented a triple room for 3 nights. They had the best breakfast buffet in Iceland. The restaurant was great (could purchase excellent food for the price of fast food other places in the island). The staff was helpful, the location was great.
A beautiful facility, with very attentive and friendly staff. Would highly recommend if considering a stay in Reykjavik. Be certain to request a room on one of the higher floors, to enjoy the views. Rooms were spacious, clean and loved the heated tile floors in the bathroom!
Very good clean, quiet rooms, helpful staff, restaurant was fine dining so £££ but breakfast was always excellent. Good location close to harbour, easy to find with plenty of parking. Can't really fault it
Honeymoon _ good location about five minutes drive to centre. However no outdoor pool as advertised on booking.com. No pool at all. quite expensive for what is provided _ No smart TV. Good breakfast lots of selection
Our stay at Grand Hotel Reykjavik was an incredible experience. The front desk service was professional and the receptionist Mr Roberto was extremely helpful and friendly providing extensive information about the local guided tours and a quick check-in. The location is great (near bus stations and the city centre) and the breakfast was delicious, well-balanced. I strongly recommend Grand Hotel Reykjavik for your Iceland adventure!
My wife and I really liked staying here for a couple nights. The staff were very accommodating and very welcoming. The room was very nice and it had a cool view as well. There are quite a few areas to sit down in the common spaces which was really nice, and it was overall a great experience.
We stayed with this hotel during our recent visit to Reykjavik. The hotel tour desk helped us to book a volcano cave tour. When the tour company failed to pick us up, we asked the hotel tour desk to help us to get the refund since they are the ones who booked it for us and we were told that they couldn't help us. Do not book the tour with this hotel, you'd better off if you book directly from Trip Advisor or Viator.com.
Nice hotel, but too much heavy engine noise from busses, right outside out window. Our room was located at the second floor with windows towards the entrance. The room was big and nice, but the cleaning was not good. Candy paper, candy and a lot of dust bunnies in the corners and around the bed. Tip: Ask for a tower room to be able to sleep after the first bus arrives early in the morning, and check for dust bunnies.
We had a quick overnight stay with an early departure to the airport. Reception staff very helpful with information on catching the Flybus to airport. Hotel is located some distance from the popular sites so not really walkable.
Great location for going on a cruise. Staff was extremely helpful with early check in and other inquiries. Rooms are as advertised with very comfortable bed. Recommend booking a room with city view. Would definately come back.
