Firstly, whilst the hotel seems far away from the centre of Reykjavik, it only takes 30mins tops to walk into town, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within 10mins walk. When we visited in Feb 2020, there wasn't much better for value, especially when breakfast was included, and the hotel was only a 2 min walk away from bus stop 13, handy for being picked up from when going on a tour. However, the room, although large, was rather spartan with small, niggly problems; there wasn't a spare electrical plug on one side of the bed (meaning you had to choose between having a working lamp or charging you phone), the window leaked ever so slightly, meaning whenever it snowed (which it did constantly) we had a small puddle form on the window sill, and finally the toilet cistern had a tendency to constantly recharge after flushing, meaning there was a constant noise emanating from the bathroom. I appreciate these are minor problems, but when combined made for a slightly disappointing experience. However, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were very helpful when we had to reorganize the rest of our holiday when the weather caused road closures.

We had a nice stay. The room was very industrial which I love. Enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Everyone was very nice. Only gave 4 stars because we had to get out of our car and notify the front desk to open the gate every time we tried to leave which was inconvenient.

Centrally located hotel, 100 meters from main street. Very quiet rooms, good bathroom and comfortable beds. Lots of choice at breakfast, cereals, toast, pastries, cold selection and bacon, scrambled egg and beans.

Stayed in February for six nights and yeah made a fantastic choice. Its small, very well located on the main street for restaurants and stores. Our room was large, had a small kitchen area with a mini fridge, very functional and kept very clean on the day to day and big bathroom as well. The buffet breakfast is generous and we enjoyed it everyday, looked forward to it really. Nice choice in Reykjavik.

Clean hotel friendly staff and good breakfast choices. Easy walk into city centre, or bus station at end of road. 7min walk to sea wall, and 5 to a little food court or supermarket. Staff very helpful on directions and suggestions and speak perfect English.
