Our visit was OK. We arrived dead tired and fortunately they allowed us to check-in an hour early. We were exceedingly grateful for this, especially after reading the other reviews. The room was comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was OK, not great. We were frustrated that they left out an empty plate of pastries with big enough crumbs that you...

Adequate hotel, centraly based, only 5 min walk to Main Street. Hotel is clean , breakfast isn't great. Bar has very very limited choice of alcohol and incredibly expensive. Some staff ok, other really rather rude. The plus side was we just used this as base , so didn't spend much time there!

This hotel is always fully booked. Their lobby is sizable enough to welcome the influx of tourists. Staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious that I was able to work out and stretch. The dining area downstairs is also sizable. Breakfast is not included but available for purchase. They have a luggage storage area in the basement. The...

My friend and I were upgraded from the Hotel Cabin to Hotel Klettur due to being fully booked. So pleased & thankful that we stayed at this hotel. Upon arrival our room was ready for us to check in around 12:30. Can't express how polite and helpful all staff members were throughout our 3 night stay. Twin room; very good...

Ideally situated for your visit to Iceland. Very clean compact rooms. Breakfast typical continental style but plenty of it - buffet style. Small bar area to chill out at the end of each day. Fast check in & out - no messing. Short walk to nearby shops and restaurants.

Very friendly, clean and helpful staff. The rooms are very warm, but need to be due to the harsh weather outside. However when opening a window all the rooms overlook each other. The room was spacious and had a fridge and TV. It was basic but offered just what is required for this kind of trip. Breakfast was more than...

We stayed in the Klettur Hotel during our 3 day trip to Iceland and checked out this morning. The hotel is okay, but not the best nor the worst we have stayed in. One issues we had with on arrival was that we couldn't check in until after 3pm after arriving at around 12pm which we didn't see advertised (although...

Hi Joanna E, Thank you for your comments shared here on TripAdvisor. We are sorry you had to wait for checking in - we are busy as most hotels in Reykjavik during this time of the year and unfortunately we are therefore not able to allow early check in. We need time to clean the rooms before the next guests...

First the hotel is ok - think generic Holiday Inn. No frills but it gets the job done. The front desk staff was brutal and unfeeling however. We arrived from Toronto at 7:30 in the morning after a redeye flight. There was no early check in - it happens, no big deal. We had to camp out in the lobby...

The hotel is located in a disheveled area. Very basic - absolutely no frills. You only get two towels, one soap, small shampoo and conditioner. No tissues, nothing else. They put me in a basement room facing a ditch. I asked to be moved and the rude girl in the front laughed in my face and said "we don't do...
