Hotel Klettur is a beautiful first class hotel, a stone's throw from downtown. The hotel's name is derived from the rock that breaks through the wall on the first floor. When choosing the color theme and the interior decoration for the hotel we had in mind the unique color scheme of the Icelandic nature. Hótel Klettur has 166 rooms, of which there are 143 Standard rooms and 20 Superior rooms. The rooms are all modern, bright, spacious and well quipped. In every room you will find a refrigerator, telephone, satellite TV, internet connection, ironing board, clothing iron, hair dryer, coffee and tea maker and a safe. Hótel Klettur is well located in Reykjavík, only about two minutes walk from the Hlemmur Food hall and Laugavegur shopping street. The hotel is within 2 km walking distance from all the major sights and only about 1,6 km from Harpa concert hall and conference center.

The staff were friendly at the front desk, bar and breakfast. The location is great as you are within a few minutes walk to some "well prices" (this is iceland) restaurants. The rooms were big, very clean and a reasonable price. I would happily stay again

Dear atuckbyash, You can either buy a ticket that takes you to the Reykjavík bus terminal (BSÍ) only or you can buy a ticket that takes you to Hotel Klettur. You might have to change buses at the bus terminal but they will help you. Hope that you will have a pleasant stay with us, Kind regards, Hotel Klettur - Ída S

Is this a children friendly hotel please
Dear Ozzie1612, Thank you for your question. Yes :) our Family rooms are larger and more spacious than the Standard rooms. They are equipped with a double bed or two twin beds along with a sleeping sofa. An extra bed can be added to create a five-bed room. On the ground floor you'll find a small TV corner with children's programming and on the same floor you can find a game room with a pool table. We look forward to seeing you soon :) Kind regards, Ída S
