This is a unique hotel, with incredible art throughout the hotel. The reception desk clerks were most helpful and professional. The room was clean and very quiet. Decent size room & bath. The breakfast buffet had the usual choices, well prepared. And the location is only a 5 min walk from the shopping area and 10 minutes from old town.... More

Nice hotel, perfectly located for sightseeing with just a short walk to the cathedral. Restaurant was closed on night of our stay so I can't comment on food but there are plenty of choices nearby. Really helpful reception staff who made taxi and dinner reservations. Rooms are well equipped.

A very quiet and peaceful place to stay. The rooms are nicely furnished and everything is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had a good choice of food including some Icelandic specialities such as skyr (nice on the muesli) and pickled herring (didn't try it). The fruit salad was particularly lovely and fresh. The location is... More

One night stop in Reykjavik before an early flight so sadly did not really get to properly enjoy the hotel but it has great staff on Reception, lots of art and comfy rooms. Good central location so easy to walk to the marina and endless restaurants and bars.

This is a great hotel. It's located on a quiet street, but it's an easy walk to the main shopping streets, where you can find restaurants, shopping and the tourist center. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. There is a computer set up in the lobby for guests to use the internet and check their e-mails. Most of... More

We thought the hotel was fine but probably not at the top of the heap. As others have commented, it is expensive - but probably not out of line with other Icelandic hotels. Most hotel staff was cordial and helpful - some of the restaurant staff was perhaps a bit "snooty". It was close to downtown but not easy to... More

The Hotel Holt is probably more expensive than many Reykjavik hotels, but, as it's said, you get what you pay for. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and old school nice. The Galley restaurant served us fabulous dinners while there, and, when we were badly delayed by Icelandair, the chef and staff waited to serve us, even though we were... More

Excellent hotel with a wonderful staff who were very helpful in getting us oriented around the city. 8 would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who asks. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast selection was quite good. It's central location makes it an ideal starting point for all day long excursions

We are all nature fun and like hiking. We had a very relaxing and full of fun 4 days in Iceland. The location of Hotel Holt is excellent you can reach everything on foot in Reykjavik downtown. Very nice restaurant but a little bit overpriced as always in Iceland. Recommend absolutely

The room is a little small, but we were able to make it work for 2 nights. Good breakfasts, and the lounge area looked very cool - but we didn't have time to take advantage of it. On a quiet street, easy walking distance to downtown Reykjavik.
