My partner and I stayed here for four nights as part of our holiday around Europe. Very reasonably priced given Iceland isn't cheap. We stayed in room 5 with the private bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen came in handy when we wanted to save from spending out in the city, had just about everything you need to cook most dishes. The... More

We stayed here 2 nights and were delighted with this good value guest house. Location and cleanliness were perfect. Room was comfortable. Kitchen was fully outfitted. A nice quiet atmosphere for enjoying the city!

We chose to stay here as it was on the opposite side of where we usually stay in Reykjavik. Next to the picturesque harbour in a quiet and pleasant residential area, and a short walk to the bars and restaurants at the top end of Laugavegur, Gallery Central gave us a warm welcome on checking in. The parking in the... More

Our apartment was a self-contained one located to the rear of the main building with a small courtyard. Inside was everything we needed, including en-suite facilities and a fridge (I think there was also a freezer too). Very easy to keep warm - quite important out of season in Iceland! Ignore any reviews complaining about the smell of sulphur from... More

The location is perfect, right by the harbour for whale watching, central bars and restaurants, and Icelandic fish and chips! The room itself was small but comfortable and clean. The bathroom is shared with other guests, but the guesthouse is small so we didn't have to wait. The only drawback, since our too was right next to the bathroom, was... More

I am an exchange student staying in this guesthouse for 4 months. I stayed in the room 4 which needs to entry from the door on the right side of the house. It's a small apartment with a living room, one bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. The furniture is good in general. The kitchen is big enough with a... More

We stayed in the 1st floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, it was very clean and cozy. We walked downtown everyday & were able to easily find parking in the afternoon when coming home from our many adventures. The innkeepers were very kind, kind enough to have had decorated the apartment for our daughters 14th birthday! Iceland is beautiful, don't miss... More

This is a lovely little guest house, 2 mins walk if that from the centre on a residential street. Come out of the front door turn right and walk straight on and you will reach the city centre in a few mins where there are plenty of shops and restuarants. I stayed for 3 nights, clean rooms, shared kitchen and... More

First I want to mention that Asdis, the manager, is really wonderful. She was very responsive when I emailed her prior to the trip and and helped us during the trip. The guesthouse is in a great location, just a few blocks from the cafe and shop area and the city center. It is located on a quiet street. The... More

On a layover to Europe for the US, I stayed there for 4 nights as my base for trips around Reykjavik. GC is a beautiful guest house in the harbor of Reykjavik. The rooms are clean, the prices are reasonable, and seriously the location cannot be beat. You're right next to plenty of restaurants, two convenience stores. It's super easy... More
