We stayed in one of the suites which are about a block away from the hotel office. Our flight was delayed and we arrived 12 hours later with no sleep. When we got to the room they had me at hello - there was warm fresh bread hanging on the door with many extras in the refrigerator like cheese, yogurt, etc. A warm piece of bread with cheese on top was exactly what I needed on a cold and rainy morning. )We slept most of the day and didn't hear a peep (our suite was right outside a courtyard). The room was so warm and cozy, bed was very comfortable and I felt nothing less than pampered with the toiletries, bathrobes and the bedding. There was a computer and printer in the lobby which made it very easy for me to print out travel documents, etc. Staff was extremely helpful and like everyone in Iceland so very pleasant. If I ever make it back to Iceland, I will defiantly stay here again.

We drove the magnificent Ring Road and completed our tour in Reykjavik, staying in an apartment at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel for three nights. We chose the least expensive apartment for two people. It was cuter than a button, with a kitchen, comfortable beds, nice bathroom with excellent water pressure, and even a small deck. The staff--Cesare, Neela, and others--had infinite patience and provided excellent service and advise. The breakfast basket was ample and delicious. We would probably size up one next time. The apartment was bright with lots of windows and dimmers for mood lighting at night. Located within blocks of the main shopping district. We dropped our car off when we arrived in Reykjavik and walked to most sights (which I recommend since parking and driving in the city is frustrating and challenging, at least for us.) We loved this hotel and highly recommend it!!

Stayed for 10 days here. Got half price on the first half-day, to sleep after a flight. Location is excellent, and the layout is nice- always great to have a kitchen to cook in while on vacation. Contactless check and check out, and both were easy and fast. That said, the cleaning service was poor, as garbage can piled up. They ran the dishwasher, but left garbage. A flashing living room light was never repaired properly. Bedroom was a nice size. However, no guide to the TV remote and stations and, while it's very nice to have some milk and OJ in the fridge, and wine glasses, why not also have a wine bottle opener in that case? Mixed review, as I liked location and hotel was quick to respond to queries, but need to up the game a bit, as Iceland is already an expensive vacation, and they have hotel competitors.

This is our second stay on our trip to Iceland and both nights we have had loud and drunk partiers from the wine bar next door keeping us awake into early hours of the morning. Windows need much more soundproofing with the wine bar"s outdoor patio right outside the window.

Great location and just a 5 min walk to shops , restaurants and bars . The apartment was spotless and really comfortable. The reception staff couldn’t be more helpful, and organised a couple of trips for us & taxis for our covid tests . Highly recommend.
