Each residence (house) is not far from the headquarter residence (house). The two we stayed in were quite different but both very pleasant and convenient places to stay. Amenities are good and the staff rapidly responded to anything we found missing or in need of attention. One disappointment was that they wouldn't give us a free cancellation when we were unable to return one night due to a blizzard blocking all the roads as we had booked a non-refundable discount deal. I guess that is not unfair of them but be warned, if you are traveling in Iceland in winter especially, you can get caught out. That is, it's probably better to pay up to be able cancel at short notice rather than end up paying for two hotels for one night. But as for the Residence itself, yes, good value.

Found this hotel on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. You can leave your bags at check in if you arrive very early in the morning like we did. Check in/check out was very easy. The room and bathroom were very clean and the area was quiet. Very good location, and we could walk the city from the hotel. There was a nearby parking deck for our rental car that was a 5 min walk. No complaints - I would definiely stay here again.

Really really liked this hotel. Excellent location, walkable to many sites, restaurants and shopping. Second was easy, and we were able to check in early. Daniel at reception was very helpful. We booked a studio and it was in the Prime Minister's house. Very clean room, spotless and plenty of room for two of us. Be advised the hotel is composed of multiple buildings, and ours did not have an elevator. This did not detract from our stay. Room had a microwave, fridge and espresso machine. We had two twin beds and there was a seating area and small table. Plenty of room. As part of our booking we had vouchers for the bar around the corner and we had a very enjoyable few drinks there one evening prior to dinner.Beds were extremely comfortable. Heating system was excellent given how cold it was outside we were toasty. The main reception area has a small café where you can purchase beverages, snacks and sandwiches what is convenient. No restaurant on the property. Really enjoyed our stay here and if I were to return this will be my choice again.

I loved this hotel. Our room was more in the way of a suite, with a full kitchen (cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffeepot, etc), a sitting area, extremely comfortable bed, large TV, and good size bathroom. It was very clean and very comfortable. The people at the hotel were extremely helpful to us when we messed up booking a tour, kept changing our breakfast reservations, and overstayed our checkout time. The hotel is centrally located, and it’s easy to get to fun stores and yummy restaurants. The free breakfasts were delicious and, by the way, the in-room breakfast basket option is fabulous (eggs, cheese, fruit, warm bread). I rate this A+.

We went with this hotel based on its TripAdvisor raves and it really was great. Our room - family suite - was perfect size for our family of five and surprisingly large by euro standards. The kitchenette has a good sized fridge, cooktop, sink, dishwasher, espresso machine, toaster, and electric kettle. The location really was perfect - middle of town, but one street off the main commercial street, so no worries about noise or crowds. The staff were also all very kind and helpful (when my wife accidentally locked herself out, someone arrived within 10 minutes to let her in; and when we had an extraordinary circumstance and needed an extra hour before checkout, they accommodated us). For breakfast, we went with the basket, which was great for our plan to grab quick food as we dressed before tours. Each day’s basket had fresh delicious bread from a local bakery, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, fruit, jellies/butter/honey, and a few sweets. Were it just my wife and I, I would have likely done the restaurant for a morning or two, just for variety. Great, great place!!
