We loved Kriunes Hotel. It was warm and comfortable. The views from the windows were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sun and moon rise with the lake and mountains as backdrops. Unfortunately no Northern Lights but we thoroughly enjoyed Iceland. The family was welcoming and eager to make our visit special . The breakfast was great with a wide... More

My mother and I stayed here for four nights, and absolutely loved it. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food is excellent, great selection for breakfast and delicious homemade meals in the evening. Everything about this hotel was brilliant, from our clean and spacious room,... More

The staff as friendly as they could be. Located in a quiet neighborhood not too far away from Reykjavik (about 25 minutes).... More

We stayed here our last night in Iceland. The front desk was very welcoming and even had a sign in sheet for anyone who wanted to be woken up if the lights made an appearance. The room was cozy and had a TV. The only thing I did not like was that we had to walk through the dining area... More

We stayed for seven nights and was impressed. The staff was very friendly. The room was well decorated/furnished and was plenty spacious. The beds were a fairly comfortable which allowed for a decent nights sleep. If I ever return to Iceland this is where I will stay.

Had a very wonderful stay with my wife. It's just about 25 mins drive from Reykjavik city and about 45 mins away from the Keflavik Airport. The room is huge and spacious and it comes with a bath tub. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. The hotel is very nice and cozy. It's a hidden gem! I... More

We definitely needed GPS to find this hotel as we arrived late at night and it's in the middle of a residential neighborhood in a suburb of Reykjavik. It's a really cute hotel, quaint and cozy. The staff was friendly and the room we stayed in was large, with a separate outdoor entrance. The restaurant was also nice. It's kind... More

Friendly family run hotel on the edge of Reykjavik. Great to use as a base for those hiring their own vehicles to explore the southwest area. Only a short 15 min drive into Reykjavik. Fantastic lakeside and mountain views. We were upgraded to the suite which was great with a huge couple's bath - perfect for an unwinding soak after... More

We stayed at Kriunes for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. The rooms are clean and cosy which is all you need after a day hiking through the surrounding fields. Our booking also came with breakfast included, which was really generous providing eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheese, cereal, etc etc (so we pigged quite a lot, might even... More

We spent 4 nights in this homely hotel with rustic decor. It had a friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We immediately felt 'at home' here. Room 11 was along the corridor away from the entrance and reception so very quiet. It had a beautiful view over the lake and towards mountains in the distance. It had a large bathroom with toileteries... More
