The hostel is in a great location and has has wonderful, very helpful staff. It was kept clean and the fact that it is in eco-hostel makes it a nice stay. I made some great friends in the lobby and the atmosphere is enjoyable.

One thing which is quite common to HI hostels is the great location and so was this one. You can't ask for more as far as the location is concerned. It's right across the harbor, few mins walk from the city center and very close to all the good restaurants/ pubs in the city. The staff is super friendly &...

This is in a central location, not far from the square where walking tours go from and only a short walk to the main bar area. As with all things in Iceland, it is expensive, however this is balanced out by the enjoyable and professional staff they have working there. The younger silver/blonde girl at the reception was a darling....

I really liked how eco-friendly the hostel was - they had lots of helpful tips and recycling bins all over the place. The central location was convenient for our visit, and the...

Really welcoming and friendly! Great size rooms and all kept very clean! Fab location too, right near the centre. Staff were really friendly and more than happy to help, we had stayed in another hostel at the start of our trip but I'm glad we chose this hostel for the last night.

Nice and clean place, close to downtown, although the road upto it is slightly narrow, so lot of larger tour buses may not be able to access it. Close to the harpa. Lots of cool bars nearby. Need to pay extra for breakfast, about 1550 icelandic kronos. the staff were very helpful and friendly and helped with making and coordinating...

Just got back from a short break in Iceland and can't fault this hostel. Room was clean, bed was very comfy, and overall good value for money. Free parking along many of the streets close by too which was a bonus. Definitely recommended if your looking for something nice but simple.

We had a double room with private bathroom. Perfect location right by the old harbour (lots of food options) and downtown. 24/7 grocery store a 5-minute walk away. Very helpful staff. Great value for money. Breakfast ok, but two cafes nearby.
