We stayed at Odinn for a short family break, family of 5 so the ground floor “cosy” apartment was perfect. Easy to access on arrival and very clean. Some basic items already there which was a great help. On the first night someone in one of the other apartments set off the fire alarm and a member of security was straight onsite. We had also booked a private airport pickup with Odinn tours and Heimir was waiting for us on our arrival, he was welcoming, friendly & very knowledgeable giving us lots of local info - excellent door to door service, even waiting to check we had got into the apartment ok. Location was perfect, close to shops, cafes, restaurant and also main bus stops. Would definitely recommend
We were with a group of 11. The appartments were ok to sleep. It needs some fixing, since stuff is broken or a bit old. One appartment had a room with a small 2-person bed and a bunkbed. The rest of the bedrooms were with 2 beds. Seemed the sofa and the windowsill were beds too. There is a TV and dish washer. Hygienic was good.
Couldn’t fault these apartments which are across the road from the Ódinsvé Hotel which has a bar/ restaurant called Snaps that is available for breakfast and meals in the evening. Apartment has a tiny room with sliding doors for the main room which the bed just about fits in end to end. Our other participant got the double sofa bed in the living area which he said was very comfortable. Rooms were large and plenty of space to cook, bathe, eat and sleep if you weren’t out around the streets looking around! Very warm from the geo thermal heating system running under Reykjavík so definitely needed in the winter months. This is located close to the main shopping areas so you don’t need to eat and drink in the hotel with everything so close even the main church is only a 100mts away. …
Perfect location, right in the thick of it. Everything with in reach and close to bus stop 3 for pick ups and drop offs for tours and airport transfers. The apartment was just right for us, 1 adult and 2 older teenagers. Clean and very comfy beds, kitchen had everything you needed. TV has Netflix which was a bonus for down time.
We traveled to Reykjavik with another family and had 9 of us staying in the penthouse apartment and were very satisfied. We also used them for tours, which were amazing. I left my purse at a restaurant the night we left and they were kind enough to go get it for me and mail it back to the US. Great service the entire stay!!
A very cosy luxe apartment in Reykjavik! Great amenities, tastefully decorated and overall has a new-age vibe that will serve flashpackers well! Absolute value for money. Location is up the street from all the main downtown action and a brisk walk will bring you into the thick of things.
We had a family of four adults and four kids and it was super hard to find a place to stay in central Reykjavik. The penthouse at Odinn guesthouse ended up being perfect. First, the service was great. We got in very early and they let us store our bags in the lobby which is very secure. They helped us with a bunch of logistical things re: checking in and checking out. I would recommend they check the lockboxes as they were VERY hard to open (much moreso than others on our trip). But, that's a small nit, as they helped us with that and many other things. The apartment itself has everything you would need, and does sleep 8 very comfortably. Two bathrooms. Was just perfect. Great common areas. Only bummer was that they just have Netflix. No regular TV. We like to see local TV shows and commercials just to get a feel for a place. But, we have found that many places are cutting the cord and offer only Netflix now. It's a bummer for us but I understand why they do it. Location wise this was PERFECT. Right between the main church (I have given up trying to spell it) and the main downtown area- about three blocks to either. A nice touch is that you could see the steeple of the main church from the apartment. In fact the little square window in our bathroom had a perfectly framed view of it. Was nice to see that every day from the apartment. A nice small balcony also had a view of the church. And out the front, a view of the street with some cool street art, and the planes arriving at the city airport. Parking---- there is parking right outside which was easy to find, for a fee. But, here's a tip--- they seem to have three zones for paid parking: P1, P2, P3 and then after P3 it's free. It's only about three blocks from the apartment where the parking becomes free. So, just drive a bit and when you see P3 go a bit further and then the parking is free. 4 minute walk back to the apartment. If we were to come back to Reykjavik we would definitely stay here again. And I didn't realize they did tours- I would strongly consider that, given the incredible level of service we received!…
Stayed here for 2 days. The penthouse is in real 4 bed apartment with two small rooms. Got carried away with the penthouse name for the apartment. Anyway, good stay here and the penthouse is good for two families.
We (family of 6) had four great days at Odinn Reykjavík apartments. Our apartment was the one on the ground floor. Friendly for elderly or handicapped, as well as for teenagers and adults. Good kitchen and the owners provided us with a welcoming start for the refrigerator (breakfast) which should not have been included in the price. The location is great, just 2 blocks from “every thing”. Easy to find parking. We lived to stay here and will definitely come back, if it is free!
Booked the Penthouse as it slept more than 8, we were 8 adults and it was plenty for us, 10 would have been tight but if you have kids with you then 10 can be accommodated. Perfect location for the city everything is walking distance. The accom is good quality and has everything you need. If you need to book tours or airport transfers then I highly recommend Óðinn tours it's like having a private driver. The perfect apartment for large groups.
