If you are visiting Reykjavik you have to get your head around the fact that for the same price as you would get a 4-5 star hotel room in Australia, you are going to be in a modest guesthouse! Our double room with private bathroom was small, basic, and up 3 flights of stairs. However, it was clean, warm, the...

Very cute and quaint place in the centre of downtown Reykjavik. Door is locked from the front. You would need a code to get access. I booked this through my travel agency and didn't receive any email/code prior. However I was able to contact the owners directly and they provided me with the information I needed. No one at reception...

Fantastic small family run guesthouse in the centre of Reykjavik! The owner was very welcoming when we arrived in the morning, he was very friendly and knowledgable and gave us a lot of local information when we were checking in. He was always smiling when ever we seen him and he always had time for a chat which made the...

The location of this guesthouse is great! Such a short walk to the centre of Reykjavik where theres bars and places to eat. We thought there was parking specifically for the guesthouse but there is just paid for parking all over the city, you just gotta find it! We were super lucky and managed to park in the car park...

We stayed for 3 nights in November and was really happy with our choice of accommodation. It was a bit tired but clean and very comfortable. The heating worked well and the water was plenty hot enough. The location was great, 5 minute walk to the harbour and near to lots of great bars and restaurants. Great bakery next door,...

Location location location! You are right in the middle of everything. Shopping and eating and within walking distance to the Harpa. When you book, you're provided a door code and room number. I showed up around 6pm, used the code to enter the building and my key was waiting for me on the front desk with a welcome sheet. No...

We loved this little guest house! It was nothing fancy but the owners were super nice and it was an amazing central location. We had a private room, which I would ask for, that had the cutest view of the city and water. If you take the fly bus, take the Center hotel stop There is a bakery next door...

Can't beat this location- walking distance to everything. We had a rental car and had some difficulty finding street parking and figuring out how to use the pay machines. Rooms were basic and shared bathroom was clean.. and basic.

This place is in a fantastic location. The staff were also really helpful- they're not at the front desk out of hours but they were pretty good at responding to emails. If you're looking for quiet and romantic probably not the best (our room looked out onto a busy restaurant door that people liked to crowd around and the 2...

I stayed here for 4 nights, and the location couldn't be better. Iceland is very expensive, so I stayed here (in a single room with a shared bathroom), not normally what I would pick, however due to the price of Iceland and the amount of time I spent in the guesthouse it was the right decision. Room was basic but...
