My wife and I were very happy with the Exeter Hotel. It was very conveniently located so we could walk to everything we wanted to visit during our 2 night stay. And the breakfast buffet was perfect - lots of choices in a nice room with lots of morning sun. The bedroom was medium size and more than enough space for us. I would recommend the hotel.

Really nice hotel with an industrial vibe, really friendly staff. Breakfast is good with lots of fresh bread, meats cheese, fruit and cereal. Room equipped with smart TV, little fridge, coffee machine. Really comfy beds. Great location for Downton Reykjavik and all the sights, would highly recommend.

You come in and are greeted at a fast reception. You'll get your room key in no time. The styling of the entire hotel is great and consistent. I arrived in my room and was happy to see that it was compact but really nice. Clean, an amazingly comfortable bed, great bathroom with a fantastic shower, amazing cosmetics (I bought a bunch of the same shampoo and conditioner in the tax-free airport shop on my way home). The food in the attacked Le KocK street food restaurant is incredible too, and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. All in all, I have absolutely no remarks, and didn't want to go home after a few days.

Beds were comfortable, blackout curtains were awesome, and breakfast was good! We stayed in then”old” wing, but it was very nice. Parking is a bit of a hassle. Located near the harbor and Harpa. Try the pastries at the counter shop downstairs by the restaurant!!

The parking is really trap for us. We were told there’s plenty of parking slot nearby and parking is not a problem when we book hotel and consult the hotel in advance. when we check in around 630pm, we were just advised to park any spare lot on the street and it was free till next 9am. And therefore we just park on street parking lot near hotel. However The next morning when we leave hotel around 815am, we found a bill on our window and check (in local language) the bill with the hotel staff, we were told it’s not a penalty but a normal parking fee of isk1000. And we don’t need settle with local bureau but pay car rental company directly. Unfortunately when we return the car 2day later, we were told by car rental (blue) company that it was a bill and cost ISK10000. What a trap. We won’t choose this hotel if parking is so confusing and so expensive and we could pay less if the hotel staff can provide more accurate parking guidance to us. We filed this complaint through booking.com to the hotel but was not responded at all. Try to avoid this hotel if you are driving. That being said, the hotel facility is good with clean room, decent sauna and good breakfast. But we didn’t get the sea view room when we request at booking.
