Our view was to the hills outside with the Perlan on the top of the hill

Apologies but we hired a car. There are buses into Reykjavik. Cost of bus? To see Northern lights unless they are very bright, you need to get well away from the Town. We did not see the lights as there was no sun activity. Hope that help. David
