This location can’t be beat! It is in the heart of the city and just steps away from Laugavegur which is the city's main shopping street. It is also less than 10 minutes’ walk to all the restaurants, bars, and cultural sites that you would want to see in Reykjavik. But location is just part of the story. The staff is top notch - both friendly and efficient whether you are talking to the staff at the front desk, restaurant, or cleaning crew. The grounds are lovely, featuring a modern but warm decor and it is clear there was attention to every detail. The artwork is very cool from the vinyl record album covers that flank the lobby elevator bank to the unique light fixtures throughout to the Theresa Himmer mixed media art pieces (sequined waterfalls!) that adorn walls on several floors including on the rooftop terrace, which has great city views. Also, it felt very safe inside the hotel and in the downtown neighborhood where it sits. Last but not least, the on-site restaurant Geiri Smart has excellent cocktails and is worth a visit. Special shout out to Obe who made our evening drinks at Geiri Smart such a fun experience. And to Ewa at the front desk who checked us in and out and always was most helpful, kind and full of good information!

Great modern hotel in city center PROs - Location, Location, Location - you can walk to many places in the city center - Friendly and helpful staff - Rooms have black out curtains (which is essential in the summer) CONs - None, great hotel in our experience TIPS FOR TRAVELLERS - If you are driving a car beware there is no onsite hotel parking. There is a parking garage right across the street but if you are parking overnight beware that the garage does not open till 7am. We had an early morning flight and had to leave at 4am which meant that we had to find street parking, whilst not impossible it does take some time to drive around since you are in the city center and you may have to park several blocks from the hotel.

Centrally located downtown right off the main tourist strip, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go within 10-15 mins and the bus stop for our tours (#6) was just around the corner. I liked the modern design of the hotel. We booked a twin room. Beds were comfortable and room was good for sharing for 2 people. Also grateful for an early check-in as we arrived in the morning and the room was available around 11:00 am. With respect to noise from the street - it didn’t bother me that much. Yes, you can hear people talking as they walk by, but it was mostly quiet on the weekdays. Would stay here again :)

We stayed here on our first night and everything was great! Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was great, and the location in the city was perfect. Throughout our trip we stayed at various hotels and hostels including 2 others in Reykjavík as part of our tour group and this was by far the standout.

If you are looking for the perfect hotel in the perfect location, then this is it. In fairness, we only used it as a base, so we can't really comment on the food. But the staff were really helpful and kind. There's a really cool and relaxed vibe with plenty of places to just kick back and relax. Our room was just perfect. The bed was huge and probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. As for the shower, well that's reason to book this hotel alone. We hired a car locally and used the pay car park just across the street. Without hesitation I world recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am very disappointed and extremely hurt in the manor we were treated. I am sharing my exact experience that accured during my stay and this is my honest option on it at the time of my booking I had clearly chosen my preference with the kind of rooms that I wanted to stay one was a king suit and other was two bedroom standard bedroom since I was travelling with my family that included my mother 70 and my children 7 and 9 years old so I had request for rooms which are close to each other upon my arrival at the hotel I was informed that the category of rooms that I had booked and had confirmation was allotted to someone else and my bookings were down graded and we were given rooms opposite to each other but in one corner of the hotel which was more of an attic rooms with ceilings coming down when I question to why this was done the reply was that, that room was allocated to someone else I had no other option but to take the rooms that was given to me. I feel this was very disturbing and more insulting when they offered me a discount for the rooms that was offered. This is my observation and I am not accusing anyone but I felt that all the dark skin people were put in the floor I was offered and all the Americans were allocated better floors and the best rooms our rooms were never cleaned even after our complaints they would only make our beds without cleaning our rooms they would not even empty our trash until we complained .This will be my time that I will be staying in a Hilton hotel

Great hotel in downtown Reykjavik city center. Easy parking at garage next door. Great hotel restaurant (try the catch of the day or the seafood linguini). Rooms were nice size, well-appointed, and staff were kind and helpful. Hotel breakfast with a great mix of european/icelandic and American options. Would stay again for sure!!

We expected quality and found even more. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore Reykjavik and close to pickup spot for tours. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. As an example, we left a purse in a taxi that the hotel had called for us. They hotel contacted the taxi and the purse was returned in a few minutes. The room was generous and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent if selected. One of the best we have encountered. The only caveat is that d the airport transportation drops you off about a block away due to Reykjavik regulations. Apparently taxis can come to the side door. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The location is great there is no denying it. Buses don’t pick up from this hotel though so you have to walk to bus stop 6 (not far) but it does mean you are standing in the cold waiting for your tour bus The hotel is fine, but I did expect more a few things which let it down - our shower wouldn’t drain so there was a massive puddle of water at all times - for a Hilton we didn’t have any of the products supplied which I would have expected a shower cap etc - I had emailed saying it was a surprise trip for my husbands 30th and asking if it was possible to have a room with a good view - we didn’t get a view at all and there was no mention/acknowledgment of my husbands birthday - I had asked they passed a message through to the kitchen regarding my coeliac disease and the need for a gluten free diet - this message wasn’t passed through and I wasn’t well catered for at all - the breakfast buffet is very small and most ‘hot’ items were cold - no aircon or heating in the room - room service kept leaving the window open which didn’t help the cold/noise It wasn’t the experience I was expecting and not a warm welcome from reception unfortunately
