I’m trying to write a balanced review … so here goes … Benefits: Location Clean rooms L’OR coffee machine … but there is a but later on …. Nice chocolate offered on check in but just slapped into my hand! 2 x bottles of water offered again just dumped into my hand no here we are complementary snacks and water on behalf of Canopy Hilton … I found this level of service not good. Set backs: Diamond member - remember a serious amount of money spent at Hilton brand hotels and extreme loyalty to the Hilton brand - No upgrade offered, but suites still Showing on Hilton app for entire stay and on booking.com Canopy Hilton might have shown the same commitment back to top tier members loyalty and in-fact a poor attitude and extremely lacking in customer service on front desk I would say 8/10 times during stay. No milk for L’OR coffee machine only creamer!! No milk for tea in room Poor bathroom amenities no shower cap, no toothbrushes, no razors etc had to ask not great! Housekeeping said they had none … asked at front desk and the Hilton colleague opened a draw full of amenities!!! Making guests go down to reception to beg instead of just providing in room!!! Demonstrates Poor customer service. Then to be told we may not have orange socks or shower caps we may have run out … surely at a top rated brand hotel there is stock take and orders are placed in a timely fashion! Not impressive from Canopy Hilton at all. No orange socks in room, but left bathrobes again poor customer service. No welcome to Canopy Hilton thank you for being a diamond member …. Again poor customer service not recognizing loyalty. No executive lounge - no drinks vouchers given to diamond members as in other Hiltons - seems mean and lacking in customer service. All in all as a diamond member felt a little let down after really looking forward to my trip especially at this brand of Hilton in a great location. Feels run by people who either haven’t been trained adequately, they have no commitment to the Hilton brand or simply just have no idea about hospitality.

What a nice surprise to see a new hotel not designed like most others. The staff was particularly helpful especially providing us with a breakfast to go at a very early hour before the kitchen opened. Our room was extremely nice and the bathroom as large as some other rooms we had stayed at! Being upgraded to a suite certainly didn't hurt!

We arrived 7AM as do many travelers on the overnight flight from NY. Obviously this is far before check-in at most (all) hotels. But Maya did her very best to get us into a room asap which in this case was by Noon. She pointed us toward some food and a place to hang out. And offered to take our bags if we had wanted to walk around. All much appreciated. Our room was lovely - 5th floor and in the rear (away from some of the street noise). We had a great layout with a king bed for mom and dad with a quality pull out sofa in a separate area for our son. Well appointed bathroom. And a deck allowing us a little outdoor access (ok- not a huge perk in ICELAND)!

The rooms are very very small. The desk is close to unusable and what's worse the desk chair is the worst I have ever experienced in a major hotel. The breakfast buffet is mediocre. The location is excellent and the staff friendly but at these prices I expect more

Arrived here around 7am after our red flight to Iceland. The front desk staff we very accommodating and provided us with a place to get cleaned up and store our luggage until our room was ready along with breakfast at the buffet. As a nice gesture (and being a Hilton Diamond member) we were upgraded to a suite. I have been traveling frequently and this doesn't always happen anymore at Hilton properties. So it was nice to be recognized as a Diamond member. Our family appreciated having the extra space! The breakfast buffet had many options from yogurts to eggs to fruit and pastries. Good coffee, juices, and water. Staff always friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed including a Nespresso type coffee maker, hot water maker and mini-fridge. Loved the heated bathroom floors. We would stay here again and loved the location. Five minute walk to Harpa music hall, near bus stop 6 to be picked up for our day trips and great restaurants all around. Wanted to thank the bartender, from Kosovo, who we chatted with one evening during Happy Hour (great prices btw). He showed us some cool pictures of the Northern Lights and convinced us that we need to return in the summer to take advantage of the extended day light. We did have one issue when the fire alarm went off around midnight. Everyone was very confused and we waited patiently in the lobby to get the all clear. No idea what caused it.

We had a 1 bedroom suite, with breakfast included, when we first arrived into Reykjavik and upon our return from touring the country. I have to say that I don't often stay in. Hilton hotel but have been pleasantly surprised this time...& certainly recommend this hotel. The bed & pillows were extremely comfortable; the staff extremely helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. As is custom in Iceland any barista coffee comes at an extra charge...but at least the Canopy offers skim milk which became rare while travelling around the country.

Excellently located hotel, right in the centre. We stayed at the hotel in February when some of the staff were on strike but we did not feel the service was compromised the slightest. All the staff working then were excellent. Breakfast was great too. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is really very very good. We arrived around midday, checkin was friendly, efficient, and helpful, room was already ready, no issue at all. Room excellent, the whole style of the hotel was perfect boutique vibe which we love and this did not disappoint. We had drinks in the bar the first night, it was lovely, great and very patient staff. Second night we had dinner it was very nice, food and service excellent. Breakfast excellent plenty of variety and staff just so nice, friendly, and efficient. The location is fantastic, we loved it, our tour pick up was from bus stop no. 6 which is literally round the corner. I would gave no hesitation in recommending this hotel, it was excellent, thank you team!
