small, short, hard beds, very uncomfortable, small, noisy rooms with paper-thin walls. Lousy housekeeping. The floor was sticky and the toilet was full of germs, that I have detected with my germ lamp!!! The hotel manager was not helpful and did not let us cancle our stay.

We enjoyed staying at the Eyja Hotel in August 2020 during Covid times. The rooms are cosy, coffee and tea in the room and the most comfortable bed I have stayed in ultimately. The breakfast is delicious with many organic spreads and juices. During the day you can always get free coffee and tea. The staff is very helpful, friendly and relaxed. We enjoyed our 5 days immensely. A big Thank You to the Eyja staff!!

Really enjoyed my stay here in our hunt for the nothern lights! The staffs were amazing. The room was so cozy and the design is so charming and icelandic! I had a very good time here and have stayed a total of twice during my visit to Reykjavik, The plus side is a street down theres an amazing indie hipster coffee shop! Probably one of the best or the best one in Iceland!

We arrived during the uncertainty of Coronavirus and found our welcome really lovely and appreciative. A very uncertain time for staff and guests but you did not know or feel anything except a warm welcome every day. Thank you. Rooms are a good size and beds were extremely comfortable. Shower amazing! The amount of products to use were very generous and luxurious, we purchased some for home they were that good. The hotel's ethos is eco and it's a bali themed style decor too. Breakfast is lovely, fresh fruit, slices of ham/meats etc and fab smoked salmon!. hot options were good, scrambled egg, sausages and nice crispy bacon. There is a basic offering in the evening but more than enough choice and we ate their two nights and were very pleased with quality. During the day and night you can help yourself to tea and coffee, and fruit. They had oat and almond milks, and I took my own soya and you can grab a bottle of chilled water for your room too. Very relaxed atmosphere. We will return in the summer soon and thank you team Eyja Guldsmeden for your friendly welcome and support during our stay.

Stunning hotel in an excellent location about 10/15 mins walk from the main area of Reykjavík. The staff were very pleasant. They moved us to a new room when the lock on our door broke. The room was immaculate every evening when we arrived back and the decor is very nice. The beds are very comfortable and the shower was also lovely (excellent flow). There is free coffee and tea 24/7. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the breakfast - It’s rather expensive and the selection is just okay. Otherwise a brilliant hotel. I would definitely stay there again!
