Great care, clean rooms, we had a sea view at the back, information on a small restaurant nearby, free coffee in the morning while waiting for the shuttle to the airport (5:00 am) Very good value for money
This hotel is a really good one. The personal is very caring and nice, especially Alejandra. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The location is really good as it is close to the airport, and it is open all night. I came at 2AM and I had no problem. I felt very comfortable while I was in here. I would definately recommend it.
From the outside this looks like an American traditional motel. There is a large car park out front. The location is quiet yet close to a petrol station that stocks food and drink and there is a very good fish and chips place close buy. This is a fine "basecamp' for exploring the west and south sides of the island. The rooms and bathroom and clean, quiet and comfortable. It's a long drive to Vìk however. We never ate the breakfast nor did we experience the happy hour, hot tub or sauna.
Value is great - one of the cheapest hotels we booked. And it was quite comfortable! slept fine, room was big, people were nice, they had some amenities, etc etc 7 minute drive from our rental car return - would stay here again yes
Don't be fooled by the name: the hotel is next to the airport but on the other side of the runway, in a former American military airbase at some 6 km from the terminal. It has NO shuttle service, which is rather remarkable for a hotel in such a location. When I arrived, I needed three things: dinner, some rest and to book a taxi for the next morning. Dinner was not available at the hotel, not even a snack. So I asked the recpetionist to call me a taxi. After a few minutes, I gave up and decided to walk 1,2 km in the wind and rain to the nearest restaurant, a dark and sad fast-food place. Back from my culinary experience, an hour later, the receptionist still hadn't managed to book a taxi for the following morning. She had to do the same for a number of customers too! Meanwhile, having to wake up at 4,30, I needed to go to bed but I couldn't do it because of the uncertainty about the passage to the airport. Luckily for me, I remembered I had a taxi driver's number in my phone and he agreed to pick me up. Breakfast (which I had paid for as an extra) was an apple, some local yoghurt called skyr, a cheese sandwich and a little carton of orange juice. Coffe could be had upstairs from a dispenser. Beautiful. Finally, there is NO elevator: you must cart your luggage up the stairs. I presume that is en lieu of a gym? Of the bathroom and of the view I enclose photographs. Judge for yourselves.…
