We stayed here for 1 night and we loved it! We got a small but very cosy bungalow just for ourselves so no issues with noise and a cosy terrace. The view was stunning with some cute horses in the area. Diner in the evening was also good! Also loved the styr with fruits. Breakfast also good! More variety than other guesthouses. What I missed a little bit were scrambled or fried eggs but on the other hand, there were good wafles which compensated for the eggs! Very friendly and young staff. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse!

We stayed here for two nights while exploring Husavik area and Myvatn Nature Baths. The staff at Brekka was super friendly and nice and the location is peaceful. We had little rooms in three-room-complex with private bathrooms which were clean and meeted exactly our needs for place to sleep in.

Tranquil and peaceful. A great place to escape the rain and the crowds touring the area. The staff was incredibly courteous, we booked at the last moment, and secured their latest guest house down the road about a km. We had a quiet night with the house to ourselves.

I was here only for one night but I wished it had been more since it is definitely the best accommodation I’ve found in Iceland. I had a room with private bathroom and it was clean, comfortable and well-furnished. The bed was super comfortable and the room spacious. There was a nice patio with chairs and table to enjoy the view in front of every house. The only cons could be the thin walls if you are a light sleeper. WiFi worked well around the whole area and breakfast was good. I arrived almost at the end of the breakfast time and the staff kindly asked me several times if I wanted something more to eat. Everything was very friendly but professional at the same time. I would definitely go back!

Very pleased, we were surprised to discover this nice hotel. Very good service, good value for money and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings in Aðaldalur close to Mývatn and Húsavík, Ásbyrgi and Dettifoss.

We stayed two nights in at Guesthouse Brekka while discovering the area of Lake Myvatn and Húsavík. The area is one of the most incredible in the island. The guesthouse is easy to find, in between the lake and Húsavík and offers nice and clean rooms. The staff was always smiling and helpful, breakfast and dinner were very good, the price is convenient for Iceland and the common areas were very nice. Thank You!

We stayed 2 nights here, which allowed us more time to explore the Myvatn area. It was comfortable, and had a large bathroom. I don't think others were in duplex next to us, except briefly, so we didn't notice noise. It was close enough to Myvatn and Husavik to allow us to explore both areas. It was a little tricky getting to the east highway, but we figured it out.

A nice room with private bathroom, cosy breakfast room, young and helpful staff. Near to major natural wonders and the picturesque town of Husavik. In a very quiet neighbourhood. We sincerely recommend this place

We stayed here in October 2017. The place was nice, had a kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc. It is a shared place. Reminds me of a small apartment where there are two rooms that are able to be locked that you sleep in. Then the rest of the area is shared. Luckily we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was good. The place is remote like the majority of the places in Iceland. Place was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly.

We stayed for one night in this guesthouse. The place consists of several small buildings scattered around a main building. We tried to call there the whole day to inform that we will arrive late. The line was busy the entire time until at 23:00 some rude lady finally picked up. When we arrived there was still (friendly) kitchen personal and checked us in. Our room was alright - nothing spectacular. But at least it was clean, warm and dry. The walls are paper thin, so take your earplugs along! The breakfast at this place is TOTALLY overrated. Continental breakfast? Ähh well if you call basic toast, ham, 3 sorts of cheese, salami, eggs, butter "continental", well then sure. Oh ok I forgot the waffles and a mini (dry) piece of chocolate cake. We had better breakfasts at cheaper
