This hotel is a bit dull in comparison to others in the same hotel group but the staff were polite and helpful. The room was of a similar standard and the facilities/linen up to our expectations. However the best part of this hotel was the view from our room - it was fantastic as we could see the entire harbour and bay.

We are spending a 2-week honeymoon in Iceland and we have loved all parts of the country. But Husavik has been SUCH a wonderful experience - we very much look forward to a return trip. The natural beauty and lovely people have been amazing. And we are so impressed with the quality and diversity of ding opportunities! The Fosshotel is perfectly located with stunning views and excellent amenities - and gracious staff. We look forward to a return trip.

Amazing accommodation, very comfortable beds, beautiful rooms, very modern and smart feel. Delicious dinner and breakfast (although I wouldn't recommend waffles), kind staff. I felt very good staying there!

We spent the night here as a party of 4 couples sharing a birthday celebration. The hotel is about an hours drive from the local airport and though the outside looks like a throwback to the 70's, the inside is scandi chic. All staff were very friendly and happy to speak English. Bar shut at 11pm on a Friday night, but snacks could still be purchased from reception and the harbour (which is five minutes walk from the hotel), hosts a series of bars which stay open for any night owls. Rooms are pretty basic, but clean and well equipped and breakfast was a delicious buffet with a selection of hot and cold food. Most people come here to do whale watching and we were no exception. Husavik is tiny and beautiful and the perfect place for an adventure. Fosshotel is a lovely place to base yourself to explore the beauty of the region, offering a relaxed, comfortable stay and a warm welcome.
