Very modern hotel - the rooms in the new section are really nice and spacious. We were in the older rooms - again good sized but "older". We asked to see one of the newer rooms and they let us have a look, even though there were none of those rooms available. Hotel is very close to restaurants and shopping... More

5 of us stayed here 3 nights because we could not find a place closer to Mytvan. We (2 of us) had a "deluxe" room which I think meant it was in the new section. There was no view, the decor was sparse Nordic and the bathroom was small - a small hand sink on the wall with no place... More

This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our twelve day Iceland tour. Nicely renovated, clean decent sized rooms and friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was extensive and well presented with lots of local dishes.

This hotel is good value for your money, it is clean, nice, quiet and the rooms have enough space. I stayed there for a night now in august this year 2016 and i will indeed book there again. Good for large groups too. And the breakfast is fantastic!

The hotel has been renovated recently. The rooms are very spacious; those facing the sea have a magnificent view on the harbour, while the other ones seem to have bigger bathrooms. Breakfast is also quite nice. It is not cheap, as most places in Iceland, but we had two really pleasant nights there.

The Fosshotel in Husavik is undergoing expansion and renovation which made for some initial confusion for us when we arrived. Once we were able to park, unload the car and locate the lobby entrance, everything began to make sense. In the context of Icelandic travel infrastructure and compared to other hotels we visited, this hotel clearly rates five "dots". As... More

Having had a poor start staying at the Leifur Eiriksson (grim, old, threadbare carpets, ancient bed linen) in Reykjavik, the Fosshotel in Husavik was a revelation. It's modern, spotless and the service/support from staff exemplary. Bistro dining is excellent too. There's nothing more to say other than it's worth a six star rating.

Tough to review as the renovation wasn't yet complete. The restaurant wasn't yet open but that didn't stop them from offering a very well stocked breakfast. Architecturally, the different wings don't quite match but once you get inside you won't really notice. The hotel is well located just a few blocks from the harbor, easy walk to many restaurants. There... More

The staff in the hotel is friendly, the rooms in the new wing are really lovely, quiet and the beds are comfortable! The bathrooms are also really nice and thre is a good choie at the breakfast buffet. The surroundings are just rather sterile and give the impression of a conference room. We appreciated the individual butter portions, rather than... More

The bathroom and the bedroom were very small. The bed was hard; i requested an extra duvet to take care of that problem. None was forthcoming. The insufficiencies were almost forgotten when we looked out from our room to the mountains on the other side of the fjord. Magnificent.

Dear gsrs Thank you for your review of Fosshotel Husavik. We are very sorry to hear about the bed and how hard it was since all the beds in the hotel have been changed over the past two years, but it is good to know that the extra duvet helped out a little bit. We hope to be able to... More
