I am so very sad that we did not actually get to make our trip to Iceland, due to the Covid19 pandemic:( And, we had booked this hotel at a great rate that was supposed to be non-refundable, using the hotels.com website. When our trip got cancelled, I called hotels.com, to explain that we couldn't go to Iceland, as Icelandair , and the country of Iceland isn't allowing American tourists at this time, and felt we should get a refund. They said no, and blamed it on the hotel Jokull's policy! But, when the awesome staff at Hotel Jokull found out, they began communicating with me directly by email, and have been wonderful!! I received the full refund😁 I can't wait to try this trip again when our world settles in to its "new normal"! I will book directly with Hotel Jokull!

We were alone in the hotel due to the closure of the VIK to Hofn road (weather too windy). However the room was ready nicely warmed. The morning breakfast was delicious even though prepared for the two of us only. The hotel is about 6 km from Hofn where we ate in a wonderful restaurant right on the water. Be careful watch out for the hotel sign as it can easely be missed.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is convenient. Check-in was very friendly. Our room was very spacious and clean. It was quiet. The whole property was very nice and well kept. The breakfast was very delicious and very rich. A lot of good food to choose from. The hotel restaurant where you eat breakfast and can have dinner has a very pleasant ambience. At the hotel restaurant we had dinner as well. The food was very delicious. We had the vegetarian pasta and skyr as dessert. It was so delicious. The servers were attentive and friendly.
